Their response has now come I was claiming a total of £1995 including interest (£1635 without) and they are offering me £1205 as goodwill gesture.
Should i take it and go quietly or keep on?
Its really upto you but consider the following...
You are letting them keep £790 of your money!
Barclays Profit for last year increased 35% to £7,136,000,000 (before tax)
And finally I'd not settle for a penny less than 80%Got It & Spent It :dance:IKEA CARD = £120 charges = £175 received (146%)MARBLES = £450 charges = £370 received (82%)I.F. = £494 charges = £494 received (100%)CAPITAL ONE = £981 charges = £1,489.03 (152%)BARCLAYCARD = £580 charges = £786.12 (136%)On Hold :mad:A+L = £722 charges (target = 147%)BARCLAYS = £1,405 charges (target = 128%)BARCLAYS = £175 charges (target = 140%)ABBEY = £3,220 charges (target = 148%)0 -
Trying to claim back £1335.00 from Barclays, replied after 8 weeks offering £930 as goodwill gesture, phoned to negotiate and was told no, full and final offer.
Think I want to carry on and claim full amount + interest which would equal just over £1600.00 but am a bit scared I'll lose the lot. Read few entries on here saying successful but still a little bit unsure...do I just take the £930 and run?

hi there need some advice, wrote to barclays to get my statements back, no probs, wrote to them with template letter asking for charges back gave them the 14 day deadline. they wrote back and said they needed longer but no longer than 4 wks, so i refused this and stated that i would be taking them to court and claiming interest again with the template letter, received another letter saying not fully able to give me full responce yet as it hasnt been decided yet they would get back to me by 6th august, this is again over my 14 day deadline, do i wait till then or do i get a court date sorted now. any help would be fantastic cheers0

You can either speak to Krysta Campbell on 02071164753 or Dino Papaevripides on 02071161943, both are really nice and helpful and make settling the claim easier. Give them the claim No, court date and the amount of charges, plus interest plus Court fees and they will sort it out for you.0

Thank you very much0 -
I recieved a letter from Barclays today in relation to my claim which i am amazed makes no mention that there is a claim against them via MCOL, they offered me £2235.00 as a "full and final payment".
as the charges they have put on my account plus the interest have gone way over £4000 did they seriously think i would accept that??
I will get back to them & pass on the news they don't want to hear and see if they are a bit more responsive?0 -
Hi
This is my first post and I need some advice please.
I am claiming £3,812 from Woolwich (now Barlcays) and they offered me £2,250 a month ago which I rejected. I then started my MCOL claim which gave them 14 days to lodge an acknowledgement which they did on the 15th day (some how that still counts)! They have now been given an additional 14 days to put together a defence.
Does anyone know what happens if they do get a defence together?
Will it go to court or are they likely to settle before? If it does go to court, what preparation should I do?
Any advice greatfully received as I'm beginning to loose confidence. Do I stick with it and hope for the best?0 -
Is it me or is no one picking up the phone on the litigation number?
Anyone else have the same problem?
Hi.... yes me too... it just seems to go straight to voice mail.....anyone have any other numbers to try??? I called customer services but they were useless and wouldnt even transfer me!MSS
