I always shuffle money around as soon as I find out (checking online banking before they write to me!) and put myself back in overdraft. However! Am I REALLY entitled? Even though I've not been to great at keeping my account in check?
Am sooooo confused!!
Yes, just read the article for an explanation why...

I received an offer of £1000 today as goodwill gesture (against £2270), tempted to take it as it's so easy and all I've done is written a letter, but then another part of me says go for full amount. Gonna sleep on it...0

We turned down offers of £264, £1300, and £1700 on a claim for £2600. We refused all these offers and a cheque arrived this week for £3300 (including interest and court fee).
I would keep going and get all your money back. You would only be doing the bank a favour by saving them money if you accept. You are entitled to the full amount, and will very likely get it if you carry on your claim. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Hi all,
I'm reclaiming £2.5k back from Barclays. Filed the claim, had several phone calls offering me various sums. Now they've filed a 3 page defence from their legal team. Looks all very technical etc.
What do I do now? I'm feeling a tad panicky. Anyone got any advice? This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!
Current Pay Off Target : £1500 :mad:0 -
I should add teh first defece they claim is that I haven't attached particular instances of these charges. I phoned the bank and they told me how much I'd paid in charges over the phone. Is it too late to get them to send out statements? This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

you must be very specific about hwat charges you are claiming back . use the charges calculator on martins page on reclaiming bank charges , print this out and send it with your letter.
i dont want to put a damper on what you are doing , but the only ONE case to my knowledge that has lost is to one person who failed to prepare properly for the court .
Read through everything that martin has told us to do and you cant fail . Read through the discussion boards all the answers are here , but most of all keep records about everything you do ( recorded delivery , phone calls , stick to timelines laid out ) .
Good luck , its your money your claiming for .0 -
