  • Just one more quick question lol, I got my statements today and I have quite a few "unpaid fees" some of these are only £10 each as it was a student account at the time, can I still claim these back even though they are only £10?

Thank you all for your help :T

Well i requested my statements on 19th april never turned up i rang them 40 days laters advising sent recorded delivery they said they didnt have the request on their system then suddenly the set i requested after the 40 days turned up on my doorstep with the original set and cheque i had sent so i would say that they proberly hold them back and issue them by date which is a bit cheeky

I never actually got the statements, Barclays totted up the figures after I said that, in the absence of statements, I would just take them to court for the maximum amount possible! Have settled with Barclays and have this morning received my THIRD (yes THIRD!) set of huge envelopes containing statements. Poor postman doesn't know what has hit him!
    Claimed back in 2007
    Barclays Bank £2245
    Barclaycard £ 504
    Capital One £ 100

    NOW SAVING LOTS OF MONEY!

They always leave things to the last minute, just to make things awkward and give you less time to think.

The Money Claim Online website is just an "electronic front office" for the HM Courts Service’s paper based system. When your application for judgement is processed they will also check if there is anything from the bank's solicitors in the post.

Obviously, it all depends on your circumstances and the amount involved (both in real and percentage terms) but, personally, I regard any part offer or payment as an attempt to take some of the charges from you for a second time.

All you can do now is wait for your claim will be transferred from Northampton (where Money Claim Online are located) to your local county court and a date set for the hearing.

You can add charges to a court claim, but it will cost a non-refundable £35. Whilst I appreciate that it can be difficult, if you are reclaiming charges you really should do everything possible to avoid being charged in future.
