    HI All!

Received my Notice of Directions Hearing for case against Barclays bank today! Oh dear, getting nervous!

I have a few burning questions:

1/ Do I need to do anything for it? Some people seem to be talking about a Draft Directions letter or something? It says nothing other than a time and date.
2/ Speaking of which, I am on my honeymoon on the date of the hearing! Do I phone and change it if possible or assume Barclays will settle?
3/ Do I ring their litigation team and see if they'll settle now anyway?
4/ What is a directions hearing?!!!
5/ I didn't have to send off an AQ - in Barclays' defence they state in Point A that they havent seen the particulars of the claim - do I send these now to the court and their solicitors just in case? Or do I just ring and try to settle now?

    Thanks for all your help!

Called them yesterday before I saw your reply. They said their department only had a copy of the letter where they offered me £1000 (£2750 claimed inc interest) They also said they have nothing from the court at this stage and cannot offer anything til they have it in black and white from the court, fair enough and they were nice enough. He said I will most likely get a call about 2 weeks before the court date but I think I will call them again the end of September if I havnt heard anything.
Just wondering if your number is a different dept and may get a totally different answer?!!

    Many thanks
  • it looks like i will be using MCOL to take Barclays to court as they have failed to respond to my claim, can anyone tell me which address the claim should be directed to when posting on MCOl (not set it up yet!)
