i am in the same boat i am waiting for the paper work to say were mine has been transferd to
but you could write a letter to the court asking the judge to strike out there defence as they are wasting court time as thet wont turn up any way
    woth a try rgards dave

    Hi

I called the court yesterday and they advised it's still in the system, but said I could send a 'nudge' letter to the solicitor asking again if they will settle to avoid the vast workloads of the judges.

I found one on the CAG website and sent one off yesterday, so I'm waiting again, but at least I feel like I'm doing something.

    Keep you posted.

    hello

decided to use Robertson Holbrook to reclaim my charges. got a letter today from barclays saying that they will not deal with them because they are not registered. but went on to offer me £2110, which is about 50% of what i think they owe me. i have accepted the offer as i need the cash at the minute.

question is can i carry on a try and claim the rest which i think they owe me?

within 10 days according to the letter i got today:beer:
  • you should get a letter from either northampton court or your local court tellig you that Barclays are to defend.Received mine on 4/6/07 and heard nothing since.
  • hi i won by default (barclays) and they have sent me a letter saying that they will pay up in full and court costs, but i must tell the court that i have this, i can understand and do this.

but they are asking/telling me that there be a voluntary stay of execution pending payment? what does this mean?

I am also claiming from Barclays, and have gone the MCOL route. They filed a defence, and then Northampton court transferred case to local court which I think seems to be standard procedure.
I rang barclays litigation dept. and spoke to Dino (who was mentioned on this forum) and he gave me the name and number of person dealing with my case. She told me that Barclays are settling a month before the hearing date.
I rang my local court to get an idea when a hearing date might be set, and they told me that they were no longer setting dates because the banks are wasting courts time! (This is just in my area). Instead they are dealing with these cases in a different manner (she explained in legal speak, but I didn't quite get it!).
So, I rang litigation dept. again and explained and sh sai she would get an offer to me by friday. I don't know if it will be whole amount or how long it will take after that, but certainly feel like It;s progresed a bit!

    Dino's number is 0207 1161943.

    Hope this helps you out.;)
