Barclays Bank (merged)

Hi all
Well 13 days ago i sent in my letter to Barclays saying i had not received a satisfactory responce to my claim (i was told first they would be back in one month then a second letter asking for a further month for a responce) and hey had 14 days to respond or i would start court proceedings
So in two days i will start the claims process...
Just a couple questions...
1. I didnt claim the interest originally, should i be doing that now through Moneyclaim ? does that mean i have to recalculte all my claims amounts ?
2. If so how does the intrest get calculated ? do i add it up in yearly amounts then add 8% each year ?
3. How much would a claim for 4350 (curently without interest) cost through monetclaim online ?
Aplogies for the questions, i understand and im sure they are answered elsewhere but there is so much info on the site and boards it can be very overwhelming
Barclays appear to be playing nasty now... i have been asked to return my debit card and cheque book as i have gone over my overdraft aswell as cancelling all the DDs SOs on the account (not particularly bothered as i have no plans to stay with them once this is resolved and i have a parachute account already opened up) i look forward to getting all this over with so i can stop playing catchup with my finances and get on with my life
Many thanks

Well, I have news!
I came back from my holiday to find a letter from Barclays offering me the FULL AMOUNT if I close the court case against them!
******* SUCCESS!!! *******
I need to sign the form and send it back to them later today, then I need to ensure that I contact the court to let them know, as my court date is May 18th. Does anybody know if it's alright to call the court, or do I need to write to them? Not exactly sure what to say, just that I have settled and don't need the date any more?
But anyway, I'm extremely chuffed. This started at Christmas, so it's taken a while but has been worth the wait!0 -

Thanks for the reply.... ill work out the interest tonight.... although i reckon this will put me over the 5k barrrier...
Does this change anything with regards to moneyclaim and going though the small claims court ? as i am sure i read somewhere that it can get very expensive over 5k0 -

hi all,can i claim for a closed account?,i sent a letter with a £10 cheque on the 4th of feb got a letter back like everyone else about timescale and the cheque back but still heard nothing should i ring them and if i should can someone give me the number as i have lost the letter
thanks0 -
Hi All,
I started this all off in Feb and filed my MCOL and as always they entered a late defence etc etc. I got my defence papers through from Barclays at this stage should I have recieved a Allocation Q? I ask because a week ago I got a Perlim Court date of the 18th June not a proper court date and reading the papers that came with it indicates that there may be a problem with my court information etc. Only thing I can think of is the Questionaire.
Any info would be great.

Hi Craig,
Exactly the same thing has happened with my gf's claim against Barclays - no AQ anymore. Apparently the courts are getting pee'd off with the amount of time the banks are taking up and know they aren't going to defend their case, so they seem to have dispensed with the questionnaire?
Cheers,

Can someone tell me where I send the letter requesting my charges back to. Is it London Leicester or my branch?0
