I don't know if you are using MCOL or your local county court.
I used my local county court, and the next stage would be to fill out AQ and then later you will receive court date and directions as to what other paper work to send in.(court bundle)

Just hang in there and dont give in.

Yes I am using MCOL, so I just have to wait for the court to send me Barclays defence then, should be interesting, how are they going to explain their charges when the court asks them to ?
  • I received the standard letter yeaterday saying that they was looking into my conplaint and would reply in the next four weeks, came home today and low and behold they have stung me for another 30 pounds for a direct debit going out, as i am now 30 pounds lite in my account and the council tax goes out on monday that will be another 30 pounds charge, where do they think we keep getting this money from?????. so i rang them today and told them that they could stick there 4 weeks and if i do not hear anything from them by wednesday i am taking them to court. all they said was that it is taking them longer then 14 days to look in to the complaint and they would make a note on my account as to what i had said, so heres to wednesday, can't wait to get my oown back on them
HI GOT MY STANDARD C**P LETTER TODAY AS WELL THEY HAVE GOT UNTILL NEXT FRIDAY TO GIVE ME A FULL OFFER I WILL ( NOT ACCEPT ANYTHING LESS THAN THE FULL AMOUNT ) SO I HOPE THEY DONT SO I CAN KICK THIER FINANCIAL !!!'S ALL OVER THE COURT
STICK WITH IT M8 LETS GO GET EMM

JUST TO LET YOU KNOW WATCH OUT THEY STOPPED ALL MY DD'S AND SO'S
WITHOUT ANY NOTIFICATION AT ALL THEN CHARGED ME FOR FAILD DD'S AND SO'S WHICH THEY HAVE CANCELED

Right! Barclays I'm coming for you!!!
I have finally snapped, after my husband used the wrong connect card to pay £23 and we were charged £30. We have 3 accounts, 1 each and a joint account because we have different names and sometimes payments come to one or both of us. However we rarely use the joint account, so it didn't cover my husbands payment. I hate to think of the charges we have had over the last 6 years, let alone the last 20+ years we have been with them.
But now I will think about it, so maybe I am quite grateful to them for this charge as it has finally made me do something about it.
It was through a TVappearance with Martin at the beginning of the year about this that lead me to this site. Its been fantastic, though I have discovered bootsing when really I should have been tackling Barclays!
    But now its time...

I'm not sure if you can or can't but I didn't until it got to the stage of going to court and if you intend to claim the entire amount I can assure you it will go to court...
  • Just had a letter back offering me £1600 - no way am I accepting that, I am now replying saying no, and also filing on MCOL the same day!
Do I do right? Claim is for £2450.63 (got more interest to add on once court application is made)

Hi, Im in the middle of trawling through my statements and noticed a few payments that I was unsure if I could claim. Could anyone tell me if these are Ok to claim back:

    UNPAIDS OUT 1@30.00
    O/D PROTECTION 250@0.80/100

Is it true I cannot claim ACCOUNT FEE?

    Thanks

Thats just the point, they dont want to, so they wont go to court as they dont have a leg to stand on and thats why you will get a settlement before the court date.
