I sent my first letter to the Cheshire address. Should i use the Churchill place address for the remainder of my correspondance?

And if so are there any departments that it should be sent to?

    Thanks

If you've had a letter back from them saying someone at churchill place is dealing with your claim then yes....otherwise carry on sending it to cheshire..you don't want to confuse them with a letter here, a letter there...

Can the Whistleblower programme get a mention in your Court bundle,to add to your case?

Has anyone phoned Barclays to ask for their fee's back before going to Court in light of and quoting this TV programme?

If anyone can direct me to threads regarding these questions I would be grateful-or please reply here.

stopped dithering made the decision and used your advice. Letter in the post today, many thanks
  • Just come off the phone from Barclays, received a letter this morning offering 615 pounds when the charges are 860. I explained that this is the 14th day and I can file a judgement with MCOL, BUT I told him I would accept 860 even though it has cost me 80 pound to MCOL.

The Barclays guy told me he had no say in rising the offer and that this was a final offer of take it or leave it from Barclays.

I explained that this tactic was not going to stop me claiming and that eventually this will cost Barclays hundreds more.

I dropped in this website and the whistleblower program, but still this is our final offer.

    Next stop COURT !!!

    lo,

The scary thing is I have absolutely no idea how much I've been charged.

    Hi Lil,

How did you visit to the bank go? Well done if you managed to get your statements (although I'll bet you would have had to wait a while!)

If not, I sent my original request for statements to the complaints dept address and they came back within a couple of weeks. The address was:

    Customer Relations
    Barclays Bank Plc
    1 Churchill Place
    Freepost
    RTLA-CSUE-TCHC
    London
    E14 5HP.

As I said previously I enclosed a cheque but they sent it back and said it wasn't necessary, so it may be worth a try writing to that address but don't bother with a cheque. The worst they could do is reply and say 'only for £10' but at least then you'd know if they got the letter.

By the way with regards your quote - I thought I'd give all this a go and at a rough guess thought I'd run up maybe £3-£400 at the very most - Imagine my complete shock when I totted it all up and it came to over £1300!! Well worth getting back I would say!
