Thanks ... I am becoming increasingly reassured... I'm up to about 99% now.
If this whole operation is till er... operating , on what basis is it legal though ? Why hasn't it been closed down ?
It is LEGAL:
Because you can invoice anyone in the country for anything you see fit, you can LEGALLY sue them for not paying.
However your chances of winning....???
the scam works on the basis that probably 3 maybe 4 out of 10 people are but stupid and pay up
I could invoice you this:
As you are aware Notices and contractual signs are clearly placed around your home on private land.
As you aware the notices quite clearly state that cats must not be left outside in excess of 3 hours.
As photographic evidence clearly shows your cat was left outside 3hrs + 7 minutes you are now served with a cat left out excess charge notice;
YOU MUST NOW : pay £120 to cats left out scams: po box 32 middle of nowhere ls1,1mug
WARNING Do not Ignore this charge notice:
failure to pay will result in the charge rising to £150 + £3 per day charges
If you fail to pay this charge notice we may take court action which may result in court action where you may be served with a county court order : substantial extra costs added to the charge notice and we shall instruct bailiffs to throw your cat in to a plastic shredder.
Appeal: please write to the above address if you feel this charge is wrong, you should enclose full payment with your appeal.
If your appeal is successful we will return your cheque.
YOU MUST NOT IGNORE THIS NOTICE:
Would you pay ?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Neither do I, I'm allergic to cats. Those and a bijillion other things. Including PPCs.
It is perfectly legal to ask you to pay money for leaving your (imaginary) cat outside someones home but it is equally legal for you to ignore it.
100% yet?
Feel free to update the thread when you get the other threat-o-grams and I'm sure there will be people who will reassure you until the scammers leave you alone and move onto someone else.0 -
Yes entirely happy now. Thanks to you and others.

I've been reading this thread with a smirk - we are in exactly the same situation - NGP car park by Pizza Hut near Red Dragon Odeon in Cardiff Bay, AND we received our letter from Graham White on the 3rd, too - they must mail them out in batches!
Resolved to steadfastly ignore them...0 -
I'm also in exactly the same position. Parked in the Pizza Hut car park last February and yesterday received the Graham White letter.
I'm looking forward to a small claims court action.
If it ever gets to court it will be a great day out!0 -
"Graham White" actually started court proceedings against somebody a few weeks ago. It all came to nothing because the company failed to lodge papers with the court and the case lapsed.
I imagine this was yet another ploy by a PPC/DCE to try and frighten somebody into paying up before it got to court. That particular motorist wouldn't play along with them and called their bluff. Like most bullies when you stand up to them they back down. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

I am in the same situation. And also ingnoring. I got a parking tickets for parking on not my own space at private property (apartments).I owe my own space and a flat in that property and park my car overe there on my space now, and NGP is in charge over there. They did not clamp my car or anything like that, so dont worry people thay will not clamp you for outstanding tickets.
Another case - a bit different. My friend got a ticket for speed (frome police). He did not know about that - never got a letter. And 6 months later police stoped him accidently and told him that because of not paid previous ticket his licence had been suspended for 3 months (he did not know about this). Also he was informed that there is a case in court now.
He went to a court, paid the ticket, paid court expences (I dont know how much) and case is finished now. Driving licence was returned immidiatly and It did not affect his credit score.
So please people do not think that any coutr case can affect your credit score - only if you do not pay what judge say.
ADVICE: if a court happen, always say that the 'Parking terms and condition' was not visible, you could not see that, was hiden behind the trees, covered with paint (if you have to go next day and paint it, take a photo
). You just came back from the optician... 0 -
Any criminal or decriminalised traffic or parking offence will never effect your credit rating! Your friends licence was suspended because they did not answer a summons to court, not because they owed a fine!
You are right regarding ignoring any PPC, but I wouldn't advise painting their signs! Seen or unseen they are unenforceable!0
