Hi - I have a question. Has anyone tried to reclaim charges on a closed account? We closed our joint account when we split up. I still have a current account and a savings account with the same bank. What do you think my chances are of getting back the charges on the closed account?0

of course you can ,even it has been closed down .
if it was a joint account then you may have to get in touch with whoever the other party was and collectively claim back the charges together .
Good luck .0 -
I've not long finished a claim for someone with a joint account. The claim was made only in one name, and was never an issue. When the bank settled, they sent a cheque in the name of the person who made the claim. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Hi, can anybody help answer my question?
I have settled my bank account and closed it approx 1 year ago can I still claim all those hideous charge's that got me into the pickle, also I have come to a agreement with my credit card people and closed them down as well approx 1 year ago, any chance on these too?

I claimed back charges over the last couple of years with Lloyds. We where set up on a dmp, so this account is now closed. They finally agreed a figure of over £1,100.00 at the beginning of december. So all my hard work with the paperwork paid off.
good luck:A Tomorrow's just another day - keep smiling0
