    Send your name, any relevant addresses and date of birth if you don't know your account number details to the address in the first post of the Reclaim Help Thread, link in my signature, along with the letter, template in Martin's article asking for all information/statements.
  • hi, can someone tell me if the procedure for reclaiming is the same for a closed account. I havent got a clue what my account number was for the account and worry that this may stop me claiming.

    About a year ago Abbey National closed my bank account down for being over my overdraft. My overdraft was £3,000 which i'm paying back at £50.00 a month. Can I still claim from them and will they still have the details of charges if it has been closed down as I have not kept statements.

    You can claim, just provide the bank with as much info as you know about the account.

    Yes you can I had an RBS bank account up until 2004 which is now closed. I did not have all my statements so sent off the £10 fee stating my date of birth, the account number and sort code.

    They are now looking into my claim but have not met my deadlines so I am just filling in my court forms and I am hoping that I will be as successful as I was with the HSBC

    Hi

    I have just received my statements from Marks and Spencer store card. The copies to August last year are clear, 1 month per page with letter fee clearly identified ( basically due to me forgetting) is nearly a charge every month of £12

    The statments before that (dating back to 2000) are all numbers and do not indicate letter charges ( of which I'm sure there are many).

    Has anyone else dealt with M&S, any advice?

  • I have just received an offer from Argos but they have said because of the OFT recommondations they are only offering the difference of the charge and the £12 recommended charge.

    So instead of £75 they are offering me £30. Should i take it? Or should i say no deal and risk them going to court over such a small amount of money?

    :confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:
