Write to them giving them your full name, date of birth and all present and previous addresses. It is worth mentioning if you continued receive account information after each change of address since they may claim not to have your full details on record

Hello,
Could anyone post a template for reclaiming credit card charges here, I have looked ''all over'' the forums and have seen many people ask if there is a template anywhere. I know it's just a slight change of wording from the Bank charges template, but think it would be very appreciated if it was given its own thread.
Thanks in advance

Use the bank template letter and change the wording to say you are claiming late payment fees and/or over limit fees.0

Hi all,
I sent a request for 6 years of statements to Halifax Card Services on 20th Feb 2007 and enclosed a cheque of £10 as advised. However I made a follow up call this morning and have been informed that they haven't receive my letter but they will collect my statement and send them out for me in the next few weeks.
Can anyone help me please as I haven't got a clue want to do now. Should I resend another letter or just wait?0 -

I recently asked for a comprehensive list of 6 years worth of charges etc etc from Halifax. To there credit they were swift in there response and my statements arrived. I followed up with the second letter saying i was claiming xyz as a result of unlawful charges. However becuase my account had been put in the hands of there collection agency and i was under a DMP they are saying that i have no rights to a refund. 2 questions

1. Are they right have i no right to claim
2. I am sure that as the charges were incurred before i embarked on the DMP i can claim them within the 6 years even if they get deducted off the running total.
Any advice would be good

Can I claim bank charges back from accounts which I have previously closed?0

RBS charged me a fortune between 2 and 6 years ago, but I closed the account - primarily because their charges were so high! Given that I closed the account 2 years ago, can I still register my claim for a now defunct account?0
