  • Hi Guys

I am new here I don't know if this has been posted butther is load of posts to get through.

Can you claim for Late payment charges on credit card's if so where can i find the template letter.

    Tahkns guysxxx:rolleyes:
  • You can, just change the template letter to read "late payment fees and/or over limit fees.
  • What do I do if I don't know my account number?
I'm trying to send a letter to Lloyds TSB asking for my back records but it's an old account that I'm now paying off through a DCA and I can't find any records showing the actuall original account number.
  • You need to send off the letter (with £10 cheque) asking for all information/statements to each of the cc/accounts you wish to claim on. If you don't know the account numbers give your name, relevant address and date of birth and they should be able to trace your accounts.

Addresses for most companies can be found in post 1 in the Reclaim Help Thread link in my signature.

Yes, if they're penalty charges you can.

I have just recieved my old statements for my Lloyds TSB asset credit card. Looking through them, I have noticed I have 2 charges for "Administration Charge" at £15 each.

These were about 3 years ago, and I vaguely remember receiving a couple of letters from them when I was seriously over my credit limit, and couldn't afford to pay.

Am I able to claim these charges back as well? Or is it safer to stick to Claiming late fees only?

Also can anyone advise me whether or not to add the 8% interest in my initial request letter? As the CAG website seems to say not to, but this website suggest it.

Strangely its quite satisfying seeing all these charges on my old statements, knowing there is a very high chance I will get them back! :j

Thanks in advance to anyone can help
  • Sounds like those charges are over limit fees so you can add them in.

As regards adding the interest, have a listen to the audio file in Martin's article as sometimes you can read too much and its easier to listen to.

Use the same template letter just change it to read you are claiming late payment fees and/or over limit fees.
  • i have recently closed down two of my credit card accounts and i was wondering if i could still claim back charges even with them being closed accounts.
