If your have already closed your account can you still claim back charges

i've lost the account details for accont with halifax so will i still be able to reclaim my charges or am i wasting my time?

Hi ya
I am just in the process of claiming back my bank charges from the Halifax, I was wondering if its possible to do the same with my halifax credit card?

I have had the card nearly 4 years now and have had the same balance. In the past i have missed a payment of £9, they charged me £25 for late payment, and then another £25 for going over my credit limit (which I only had AFTER they had taken the charge)

Can i reclaim any? if so are there any templates available as there were for the bank charges?

Alter the template to say that you are claiming for late payment charges and/or over limit charges.

I'd like to know this also, as I paid off charges from Natwest and closed the account. But I want and NEED the money back as it's over £400.

:money: Yes you can,i am in the process of reclaiming from the Halifax,they are dragging there heels a bit,but i will hang on in for my claim with interest,interestingly since i closed my account and re opened a new account i have not had bank charges and have managed my account well,with the same income,goes to show once banks start charging you each month its a vicious circle you fall in to and a hard one to get out of,thanks to this site i feel more financially secure with less to worry about and am about to issue the Halifax with a court summons letter today as they have not responded to my request within 14 days.
