  • I am on other threads as well about reclaiming cc charges.
My question is do you write your letters (each of them) to the store or catalogue you had an account with or to the finance companies?
    If so:
    a) how do you find out which finance company represents each storecard/catalogue
    b) does anyone have a definitive list of addresses, as per the banking charges reclaim thread for these companies?
    Many thanks as ever

  • Hi, don't know if this has cropped up elsewhere, but.... has anyone tried reclaiming from the old MoreThan Credit Card that was ended and became a lloyds tsb card??

Is it possible to still reclaim charges from MoreThan for something which they no longer provide?? If so, does anyone have the contact details for data protection letter and registered address as per all the others.

Also, if anyone has tried claiming how have they fared as i can't see any mention of more than.

    Many thanks for your help.

I've already successfully reclaimed from capitalone (338quid) and want to blitz all the !!!!!!s

    Thanks again

  • Write to the finance companies, if you Google them you'll find a "contact us" address. Some of the addresses are in the "address" thread as people post them here.
  • old MoreThan Credit Card that was ended and became a lloyds tsb card??

Contact Lloyds TSB if its now run by them.
  • Hi Lollujo, you can make claims against all lenders which have levied penalty charges for missed payments etc. The process is the same.

Rabpool56, is the amount outstanding a mix of interest and charges? If it's all interest you won't be able to claim it back but it's likely you've got charges in there too which you can ask for back. You won't be able to claim interest that they charged for the initial £40, but you might be able to claim back the interest they've charged you on all your charges - worth a try anyway when asking for your charges back, good bargaining tool.

I've been reading with interest people claiming the charges back. I had an account with Barclays that I closed a few years ago because of the charges. Question is can I claim for an account that I no longer hold????

    Thanks.

So long as the charges and account were within the size year limit, you can :)
