Send your name, any relevant addresses and your date of birth to help them trace your accounts.

Try initially sending to the address on any statements you may have, if you don't have a statement use the addresses in this thread in the first post for the issuing banks.

After receiving my credit card statements from the past six years, I noted
the Payment Protection Insurance taken on a monthly basis. I confess to not really noticing this when making my payments. With Capital One Bank the
total over the period was £1043, I hadn't agreed to this sneeky charge, on
the basis that as a SE person it would not benefit me. I don't know whether anyone else has tried to recover these stealth charges, I have written to Capital One to make a claim. I will let you know how I get on.

which letter do i send to start the ball rolling in claiming back cc charges?, i have the one for reclaiming bank charges.

Does anyone know if the advice given on bank charges applies to cataloge companies.

I made a final payment, or at least thought i had, of £20 to a cataloge company just before xmas. Because of the holiday period they did not receive it in time. As a result my debt after paying the final installement has gone from £20 to £21.

I wonder if someone can clear something up for me please ?

I was wondering if it was possible to claim back fees from Credit & store cards companies & late payments. For instance, I have calculated that Egg owe me £721.76 and House of Fraser owe me £436.27 in late payment fees etc and going over your limits?

If there's absolutely no way you can find your account number, you could ask CapOne after providing them with some details about yourself. If they're unhelpful, you should make a request under the Data Protection Act, suppplying as much information about yourself (Address, D.O.B etc.) and your account as you can.
