Am I able to claim back charges from the Credit Card companies?
How would I get statements from these people?0 -
Yes they will. Send them a SAR (Subject Access Request) it costs £10, and they will send you all your statements dating back 6 years.0

Is there a template for this request? And do I need to send them a postal order for £10? What information do I need to give them? Account number?0

You can but get all the details first going back six years. Write an SAR request.0

There is a template in Martins article for this. A £10 postal order is fine. Give them your account number, name, address, and sort code if you have it.How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

What if you can't find the account number, but you can provide ID, I also had a business account there that I never used but still have the numbers.0

Yes same advice as above0

Thanks, SAR requests coming out of my ears? Is it best to send a postal order, because my Dad had trouble because they paid the settlement into one of the accounts that he was contesting the charges from and he had to force them to transfer it to an account that he could use.
I would rather not give them my current account details, hence not too keen on sending a cheque.0 -
