Did you send a print out of charges or statements? You should not have to send statements as they already have these. I would send a copy of your print out again.
Good luck
Cheers piggin, I sent of photocopies of all the relavent statements and I sent it to the branch. There were about 20 sheets of paper. Is it worth re-sending them or shall I say I have the details if you need them?Trying to reduce my outgoings!!!

I would just mention in your letter that you have the details previously supplied to you under cover of my letter dated .........
They should not need copy statements, as they have these and can quite easily look these up if need be.:rotfl:"Penny Pinching Winch"

NatWests 7 days are up tomorrow following my 'take further action' so I rang them this morning to make sure they had had my 14 day letter. The lady there said that my offer had been made on 7th February but wouldn't be posted out for a couple of days.
Should I send a final letter before action anyway asking for interest as I haven't up until yet?We finally did it! Debt free 28/6/10 :T  :T :beer:0 -
Any offer made won't include interest at this time. Up to you if you want to add the interest you will need to be prepared to take them to court rather than wait to see what offer they are making.0

Finally recieved my bank statements this morning, took just 2 weeks.
Have spent the morning going through them and adding up and am amazed that they total £2505!!!!
As my main account has always been HSBC(who i successfully reclaimed £2088 form last month) i didnt really expect more than £500 as i've only started using it properly in the last 8 months!!
Going to spend the afternoon doing letters and spreadsheets and get stuck into these now :j0 -
Hi All
I'm just in the process of starting of sending my request for statements from Natwest.
I have two accounts to get info for so will be listing both the account numbers. One is a current account and the other one is for a credit card.
The Natwest Current Account is still open although I don't use it and haven't used it for a long time.
The credit card account was closed and my questions relate to this account. I can't remeber the exact figure but I had about £4000+ on the card and it went to their in-house recovery team where I went into an arrangement to pay it off over a period of time. Three months into that agreement I was lucky to have get enough money to clear the debt :T
However when I phoned up - before I even got a chance to make this offer they told me that if I paid the full amount off in one go then they would be happy to reduce the debt by 10 or 15% (sorry I can't remember the exact amount) - at the time I thought "what a bonus!" - especially as I phoned to pay the whole amount. :j
I can't remember if I signed any disclaimers about charges and was wondering if I can still claim charges back on this account. I think the discount may have been related to accumulated interest rather than charges but not sure.
If anyone has an idea or can tell me more precisly about this procedure I would really appreciate it.

I have a small business and have started to claim back charges on my business account can someone advise if there is any difference with personal or business claims. I am a sole trader.
You can claim on a business account for some charges but not annual service charges. Have a read of this thread...

Ken.W wrote:Rex, you were right! The Nat West finally caved in. I received a cheque this morning for the full amount .. over £2800! :j
I'm not allowed to disclose much else, but I will say to anyone who's nerves are shredding at the thought of going to court: DON'T BE SCARED .. DO IT!!
I really thought that I'd be "the one" that the bank was going to win against
That's fantastic Ken.W....I've been keeping an eye on your posts as I am in the same situation, sent off my allocation questionnaire after Natwest put in a defence on the last day.
Just waiting now to get my court date, I'm not really that bothered about going to court (although it may send me into early labour!!)...I have quoted the usual stuff on the questionnaire asking kindly that the court order standard disclosure etc..
I am really hoping that I can pull this one off as I have a little one on the way and could do with that cash!!0 -

Thanks, Jellybugs! Don't worry about the Court date, they held off right up 'til the last moment before they caved. You've got a great team of experts here to help you ( .. as they helped me), so stick to any info provided along the way, and you'll do fineNat West = CONQUERED: 10/02/07 .. PAID UP IN FULL .. OVER £2800!! :j0 -
I am about to request my statements from Natwest after yet another extortion attempt.
I know what address to send it to and to send it recorded delivery but what I can't find is if there is something specific I should put in the letter other than:
" OI, Robbin' gits, Give me 6 years of statements, Love from me xxx":dance:One good turn gets most of the duvet!! :dance:0
