NatWest (merged)

Hi everyone,
Please forgive me for being a little lazy, but I think that going through 49 pages of info would give me more questions than answers. The background is that I've had a letter from the Halifax saying they will refund my total charges of £128, and I now want to help my (sceptical 2 months ago) fiancee to get hers from the Natwest, which she estimates to be in the region of a few hundred quid. I remember spotting on this site a few months ago that Natwest took a harder line than most. What I'd like to know is:
a) are Natwest likely to go all the way to defend, and if they do then what is the likely outcome?
b) if we win, by whatever means, are they likely to close her or even OUR accounts? (We have a total of 6 accounts with them, and live together)
any input will be appreciated, thanks.

a) They are not very likely to go all the way to a hearing, but you may have to issue a court claim before they pay. Some claims they are paying out immediately. It is pot luck how they approach your claim.
b) This bank don't seem to be closing accounts after reclaiming, but it is always a possibility. They will only close the account you claim from if they do this. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

I have a Natwest account which i no longer use as i was sick and tired of them overcharging me for different things.
My overdraft is over £1000 which i now owe. When i pay it back each month all they do is put the charges back on and i end up going over the overdraft (f you see what i mean) which means me having to fork out almost double what ive payed back already for the next month.
What i want to know is
1/ can i claim these charges back
2/Who do i send the letter for the attention to?
Thanks0 -
