I've noticed a fair few prices have gone up since I had my free £10's worth... wonder if that's the same for everyone who's used the code and still showing the lower prices for those who haven't?

I am a bit confused here, why do you need the stuff to be in a bag? You are only carrying it a short distance. The milkman in my experience never used bags, and that was before we were trying to cut down on the use of bags etc to be more environmentally friendly.

I remember in the good old days when I was a kid and we had Express dairy delivering to us every day, the stuff, ie eggs, juice, milk cheese etc was always left on the step.
so u think its perfectly fine to do a shop and have it all just LEFT on ur doorstep for however long? some even report having deliveries @ 2.30am... be realistic now.

u wouldnt accept a supermarket bringing ur food and leaving it on ur front path so y would a milkman food delivery b any different?

yea thats why i chose 19th for delivery as all the prices of my stuff were going up today. but it did say it would charge u the 'delivery day price'. so I made sure i timed mine right.

Ordered mine last night and it was on the door step at 7am this morning. Didn't check the sell by dates.
Seem like a good enough service, although not the cheapest definitely one to keep in mind when running low and need something the next morning.

  • Good experience for me - ordered Saturday. Arrived this morning in the early hours, all present and correct. The bread even had 5 days use by on it which I struggle to get in local super.

Was all loose on the doorstep, but lets face it, only have to walk from door to fridge. In these environmentally conscious times, I think it's a great they are cutting back on unneccessary waste.

I have just set up a regular milk order purely so I don't have to go to Sainos three times a week and buy things I don't need.

The prices are a little on the steep side but like others have said where else can you order at 9pm the night before and have the order delivered free and on your doorstep by the time you wake up.

Finally, a nice trip down memory lane, plus the kids loved the novelty of it....who'd have thought a pint of milk on the doorstep provoked more excitement than any Christmas presents :-)

I looked at this offer, but kinda feel a bit guilty using it, and thats not like me as I do like a bargain lol but I feel the milkman is a dying breed and I know alot of them are struggling to keep going due to the supermarkets being much cheaper. Just wondered if anyone else thought this.

Ps I am not saying this to upset of offend anyone, so apologise in advance if it does, just wondered if anyone else kinda knew where I was coming from.

I feel the same as you so decided that I would take up the offer and then have milk delivered regularly (if no other items). The milk is slightly dearer than Tesco but it will stop me keep going to Tesco (I never just buy milk!), it's money that is not going to Tesco (hate them with a vengeance!) and it's helping the milkman. Many many years ago OH was a milkman for a short while and it is not an easy job by any means

I would hate to see milkmen die out totally - I am sure for a lot of people they are a necessity.

Years ago I had a milkman but he used to deliver after I had gone to work and in the summer I kept coming home to milk that had gone off. Now I am at home all day it will be ideal

  • So far, so good with this offer. I placed my order on Friday evening and everything I ordered was packed into bags and sitting on my doorstep this morning when I got up.
  • Just placed an order for this. The order total was £13 for some bread, milk and other basics. I've entered the voucher code and it said it was accepted but the deduction isn't showing on the invoice yet and there's nothing on my account to say it was entered. Guess I'll have to check it when they send the invoice.

Its annoying that they don't give you a delivery time, so I've only ordered a Saturday delivery so far as I should be in all day.

If this works out OK I will use regularly although only for a few basics. It is pricy but worth it not to have to cart the heavy stuff like milk and juice home from the supermarket as I don't have a car.
  • My delivery came this morning-I'd forgotten it was coming, so my hubby had to run and put it all in the fridge on his way out the door!! Everything was as specified and my invoice is showing up correctly too. There was a nice little note from the milkman to say he is going off on his hols for 2 weeks, so there will be a stand in. It's such a good service, I think we'll use it again.
  • The offer doesnt seem to be available in lincs either!!!
