    I've been Money Tipped!
Mine came this morning - not sure what time as didn't hear a thing (neither did my dog) but it was on the doorstep at 7.45am when OH was going to go the shop to buy bread (he was pleased as it saved him a trip).

Well pleased with it all. Everything was there and it was in carrier bags although would not have cared if it were not. Am definitely going to have milk delivered regularly now and probably bread, crumpets etc occasionally.

  • Rang this morning, spoke to a very nice gentleman who is adding the credit to the account befor the DD is taken, pleased with outcome but shame they had to be contacted.

hmmm ive been charged too! bet this is a ploy just to get people to reorder! so im going to be creditied £10 to my account so ill have to place another order, and will be charged for the one i should have had free. didnt want to be charged at all for anything!
  • Finally. After 5 non-deliveries, calls to customer services and a last minute bag of stuff hand delivered last Friday, I checked my invoice yesterday and it shows nothing owed so placed a regular order of milk in a bag twice a week plus other stuff (including free jug-it). Checked doorstep this morning to find bag of milk and jug-it! Yeah the online ordering systems to be working at last! Although I did put a message to come into my flat block and leave by my door as I expect some other tenants will probably help themselves sometime in the future!! So going to leave empty bottle from last Friday's last minute delivery and put a note in it for the milkman when my next order is due on Thursday!
All I can say to those who have problems with their invoices, it is worth checking it when it comes on 20th and ringing customer services if there is a problem. I found them helpful in the end!
Regarding whether it is fair to order the FREE £10 if you have no intention of using them again because of the cost, it's worth considering that once you have the account you can order anytime and you may have an emergency and it will come in handy! Also I am sure that because the items are more expensive than the supermarkets Dairy Crest should be able to cover the cost of those just using the free £10.
Personally, I am pleased to have my Free jug it and plan to continue with orders because of the convenience of billing once a month (and the occasional offers!).
The only reason milkmen are going out of fashion is because the supermarkets have undercut the prices of milk and think this campaign is a great way to get us back to the old ways (more environmetally friendly too!).

    what a terrible first impression.

browsing about the site it all seems overpriced compared to my local corner shop but with the £10 off i thought i'd give it a go.

started making an order on thursday just before 9pm, filled my basket with products, the site is a bit clunky but works ok, went to process the order after 9pm but was told i had to remove all the items and re-add them for a different delivery date, time wasted doing that!

delivery on saturday was incorrect. 2 yoghurts missing, 1 yoghurt incorrect, 1 hot cross bun missing. no email address on website only postal address and 0845 number. looked up numbers on saynoto0870, called the local depot, they couldn't help me. called the aldershot head office, was asked to call the 08456063606 main number. called 3 times, each time told that they would call the depot and i would get a call straight back, waited half an hour each time but received no call back.

eventually spoke to someone who seemed to know what to do. items reordered for tuesday (today) and no extra charges to be made on my account. however items were not delivered today! called the 0845 number again. the items that had been re-ordered were incorrect so i re-re-ordered them hopefully for a thursday delivery. i won't hold my breath!

the people who i spoke to one the phone and the delivery driver were all very nice and helpful, but to me it seems that milk&more have deeper problems with their service that can't be fixed by an individual's friendly smile.

12 mins total so far i have wasted on 0845 calls from a mobile phone! i thought i was supposed to be saving money? I am also somewhat worried that they have my bank details, hopefully i can get them to remove my details if i send them a letter?

i will definitely not be using them again and would not recommended their service to anyone.

  • Items have just now been correctly delivered at last. Would've been nice though to have it done properly the first time!

Call up customer services and complain. They gave me mmy first order free as compensation and then was still able to add the £10 discount for my next order! A total of about £18 FREE groceries!

  • Items arrived on the correct date, all of the order was correct, only downside is that the delivery didn't arrive until nearly 9am - surely the whole point of this service is for it to be a way of getting last minute essentials in time for breakfast to save you an evening trip to the convenience store? Would probably use again as I was pleased that they now to milk in the 4 litre plastic containers which save a lot of hassle and space compared to having a fridge full of glass bottles which you then have to clean and return.
