Note 3, am on contract and just upgraded to nexus 6p, the note 3 is my old phone and i wanted to use it as a backup phone on another network. Asda mobile specifically.

I assumed here was better since it was specifically about unlocking. Was I wrong?

No but they are trying to clean up the board from all the Voda threads

Yes most of mine have been, my note 3 is not, unless when I put the asda sim in it just asked for a code for fun!

And they supplied me with a code, it just did not work.

I did say all this ;-)

    I see.

I used that link originally and got a code. However it does not work. Yes my imei was correct, i can tell as it's still in autofill in the browser.

Are you saying i should try again and hope for a different code?

    No.

Contact Ofcom and register a complaint, take that reference number through Voda complaints process

    http://www.vodafone.co.uk/vodafone-uk/forms/complaints/

Do it via mail or email... customer services usually fail to log complaints as a official complaint

    Ofcom info on unlocking http://consumers.ofcom.org.uk/phone/mobile-phones/changing-provider/mobile-phone-locking-and-unlocking/

  • Hi Lee/Vodafone, I followed the steps mentioned above and sent an online email form in relation to the trouble I am having with getting an unlock code despite following all instructions precisely.

My email reference is WRT135 [#14241027]

Any help you can offer to provide a swift and satisfactory conclusion to the matter would be greatly appreciated.
  • It's fine, code came through this morning, all good.
