  • Hello everyone,
I sent my Data Protection letter to Lloyds almost 30 days ago. Does anyone know of an email address I can contact them on just to ensure they have received it and basically to remind them I am counting the days!....The Lloyds website doesnt seem to forward with this info!
....I've also done the same with GE capital and ACE so email addys for them would be great too!
    Thanks in advance.
  • After requesting my duplicate statements and adding together the charges I sent letter 1 to Shenley Rd, London - NATWESt for £5412.00. The letter i tracked through royal mail was rec'd on 8.2.07 and up to now I have rec'd no correspondance. I have spoke to Shenely Rd staff ho have confirmed receipt of my letter but today have advised me it will be a further 3/52 till I hear anything else. Following Martin's advise I intend to press on and sent letter 2. However after double checking my duplicate statements I have realised that over a year was missing in the middle despite the page numbers corresponding. I wonder if this is a tactic being used? I no have the missing statements in my possession and there are another £1300 in charges. What do I do now add it to my £5412.00 and sent letter 2 or start again. Please advise.
  • Hi,
I'm sorry but I'm soooo confused! I am trying to reclaim PPI charges from my credit card company on the grounds that I could never have claimed on it anyway, as I'm self employed. I'm sure that I've seen a template letter for this somewhere, but I just can't find it - have searched the site, this forum and the other thread relating to reclaiming bank charges, but I can't find it!
I also want to claim back charges for a late payment for our old mortgage, already closed, but can I still do this and in that case is there a letter for that as well? Sorry, but I have spent over half an hour searching with no luck!
I don't think I can hang on til Friday...

The fee is £80 for the amount you're claiming.

try thisismoney.co.uk campaigns reclaim your ppi premiums, there are two
letter templates, one should suit you as you are self-employed.
  • I have claimed £409 back from Barclaycard, they have offered me £125 which
I declined, wrote telling them I would issue court proceedings. They responded by letter stating that they would not increase their offer and invited me to ring them. This I did and spoke to a senior person who admitted to me that she herself had reclaimed from her own bank default charges.
I suggested to her that Barclaycard would eventually have to pay me the full amount - her response flabbergasted me - "we can't make it too easy for you which is why we have adopted this attitiude towards the claimants to frustrate you."

Capital One Bank are adopting a not too dissimilar attitude towards as mere mortals

This is exactly why the banks should be reprimanded by the courts for wasting time putting in defences they have no intention of seeing through.

They know they're in the wrong, yet they continue to try to frustrate their customers to stop them reclaiming. An absolute disgrace in my opinion.
