In the next couple of days I'll try and tidy up some of the threads to make sure the questions are in the correct threads so they don't get lost.
Feel free to ask your questions and hopefully someone will be able to help you process your claim smoothly.
Hi,
Can anyone help me as i'm getting a little nervous. I asked Barclays Bank to refund overdraft charges-£180 in a month, as i am only receiving £90 per fortnight job seekers allowance, this meant i had nothing to live on. They offered me £90 which i refused and then put a court claim in after which they put in a defense. The court case is scheduled for about 3 weeks time. What should i do now if anything? Maybe i should have accepted their offer of £90?0 -
Hi,
i am in the 1st stage of reclaiming the bank charges and wondered if i could pay the £10 fee (for six years of statement or list of default charges) by postal order, rather than cheque as i dont have one0 -

I have just started the process of requesting charges back - 3000 plus and interest in excess of 400. Reading some of the comments it would appear that the banks are starting to fight back with a defence and even employing solicitors to defend at court. Has anyone any experience of taking the bank to court and the bank having defended and won? JGNat West - MCOL March - FatWest defended - hearing date 4 July - 2300 claimed and still having charges put onto account!!
HSBC - sent 14 day - still waiting for reply. MCOL by end of week - claiming 795 - eventually paid out £560.
Halifax - sent for statements Feb - cheque cashed - nothing received - reported to FSA - paid up almost amount claimed before official complaint registered with FSA0 -
stand your ground , 99.9% of cases are settled before the court date !!
Stay focussed and read theses forums . You will get your money .0 -

Hi everyone,
Not sure I have the right thread for this question.
Dows anyone know what the phone number is or email address for the follow up of not recieving the bank statements after 40 days please.
I prefer email address as it shows proof of it being sent plus I have hearing disability and do not want ot mess up with the conversation.
PLEASE help anyone.... "will buy the 1st beer" if I win any refund...

Hi there,
Did you send your letter by recorded delivery? If No, then send your request in again and keep the receipt.
If you did send by recorded delivery, you should visit the bank with your letter & recorded delivery stub and inform them they have gone over the 40 day period. They should deal with it there and then!
Im with HSBC, they owe me over £1000. Im at the last stages of this whole process. So far it's been really easy. Reading by what people have said on this website, I should recieve an offer by Wednesday.
Let you know soon...0 -

Send THIS LETTER to the same address you sent the first request. Make sure you send it recorded or registered delivery (so they have to sign for it).How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
