It's not a small claims court. This is only a type of court process. The court you will end up in is your local county court. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

hi
A couple of weeks ago I wrote to natwest with the 1st letter posted on this site and today I received a letter back stating that
" I am sorry to learn of your displeasure but we believe that our charges are fair, reasonable and transparent. We are satisfied that our charges are applied in accordance with your agreement with us and our published tariff and comply with applicable laws and regulations."
Now what ?????
Is this good or bad ?????
Will I get anywhere ??????0 -

Hi all,
I'm new here too, I've read so many really great posts and am looking forward to getting out of debt in the new year. I've been with Lloyds for years and have just sent the first letter off, then realised I didn't send it Recorded Delivery so hope they don't just ignore it! Just have to wait 40 days I guess.0 -
Hi and thanks for all the help so far. I am also with Barclays and have gone down the path as far as actually filing a claim with the court after being offered less than a third of the charges as compensation. They have replied to the court that they intend to defend all of the claim. This minimally gives them another months grace and I do not know what I can do next if they actually defend the claim. Any advice on the next step??0

When they submit a defence, you should get an Allocation Questionnaire. Fill this in then wait. The next stage after this should hopefully be them paying up in full before the court date.0 -
Thanks for that. So far all I have is an "Acknowledgement of Service" and Barclays 'Litigation & Disputes department' through a 'Legal Executive' have responded that they need 28 days to prepare a defence. More as it unfolds.0

sidkimbrough I'll pop these last few posts into the Barclays thread in a minute as the questions/answers will help other claiming from Barclays. Good luck.0
