  • pigeonpie - do you make many calls? Do you need to send these sms messages by phone, or could you manage sending them via the internet (using an internet sms company) ?

And a little humour for a dark morning - yes I did follow the charities thread, and have started donating a few pounds from the balance to charities. However, when I found the Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (yes, it does really exist), I coudn't help myself from repeatedly donating to it. No I'm joking, i donated only once. Ok, you can go back to having a dark morning again. Humour over.

  • If you request you Port code it will be valid until Easy Mobile stops.

If you have this code you will be able to move your number to any UK network within 2 weeks. The last date you can port you number with a guarantee of no loss of service is on 30 November.

If you decide not to move your number your post code will just expire and you will have lost nothing so I would say request your code even if you are not planning on using it....just in case

I have received my code, am looking around and will leave it until November 30 before moving my number to another company.

I have requested a Fresh pack so if I decide to move it to them I have everything I need to move it before Easy Mobile switch off, will probably move it to them while I look for a new deal over Christmas.
  • Looking for the cheapest pay as you go service for texting (EasyMobile was 5p per text to other networks), I know Virgin is 10p per text to other networks and 3p to Virgin Mobile phones - any better deals?

Does anybody know of any websites that allow you to pay for stuff using your mobile phone credit?

I know you can pay for the London Congestion Charge using your phone and can pay for parking in Salisbury but other than that am stuck for how to spend the money!
    paypal mobile?
  • I wonder whether Easymobile has sold its customer base to Fresh. I bet Easymobile gets a kcikback for each customer transferred.

I don't like the banner from Fresh, "hurry offer limited while stocks last". Are we to imagine that SIM cards are rationed?
I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".

Note fresh charge 60p per month if you use less than £1.50 but as Easy charge 75p per mth (less than £5 usage every 3 months), its just as good

I can't find any information about a low/non usage / keep number active charge - from Fresh.

The T&Cs (clause 11.2.10) refer to a minimum £1.50 spend over three months otherwise they will suspend the service and not reactivate it.

I was confused by the statement on their website. I thought requesting 'Fresh' details would mean accepting the deal and the immediate end of my easymobile account (even though I have quite a bit of credit left).

    Any views on this please:confused:
  • matto - terms and conditions -
6.11 For each calendar month in which your spend is below £1.50 you will be charged £0.60. This charge will be deducted from the balance of your account within fourteen working days of the start of the following calendar month. If there is not enough credit on your account, the balance will be deducted when you next Top-Up.

I guess that this means they'll not get too heavy for non-spend over 1 month, but over 3 months they could bump you...

    iffy - thanks for that.

If the £0.60 is counted as spend (nothing to suggest otherwise) then the total over three months will be £1.80 so clause 11.2.10 won't apply.
