  • Could anyone help me with an unlock code for Nokia 6060 IMEI 359363000230259. Thanks!

Also, my son had £25 of credit when EM decided to close so I told him he could download a 'few' ringtones. I've logged to his account today to find he's over £12 in the red! arrgh! Will EM take this from my bank account? will there also be a fine?

    Thanks,

  • arrrrh, he's come home from school saying his phone won't work! I've just had to top up so he can carry on using it as he needs it to contact me while in school.

Getting really fed up now - if I can't unlock the phone what happens then? They say we have to 'port out' by the 7th Dec and I have the new sim and pac code ready but can't unlock the bleedin' thing to use them!

    Who you moving to?

You should have already given the PAC to your new provider, the port can take at least 7 days, so if you haven't already given the PAC to your new provider you could find that your phone number will be lost forever and the port will not go through as your account with easyMobile will be closed down and you have no number to port.

Have you tried the new SIM in the current phone?

If you are moving to Fresh, Virgin or M&S then by the sounds of things you should be fine as easyMobile phones were only network locked and not provider locked, that being they are locked to the actual T-Mobile network, the network that easyMobile, Fresh, M&S and Virgin run on.

Have you tried either http://www.trycktill.com/eng or http://unlock.nokiafree.org for the free unlock code?
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

  • Hi Bex, I was hoping to switch to Tesco. I requested to port out as soon as the news broke they were closing and have the Tesco SIM and the PAC code ready but the SIM won't work in the phone without the unlock code. I have requested the unlock code from EM twice but so far have heard nothing

I tried both of those sites for the code but there's no code for the Nokia 6060. I've now given up and requested a Fresh SIM as hopefully their SIM will work without needing to unlock. Time is running out though - what a pain - he's only had the phone since September

Oh well, if the worst comes to the worst he'll only lose his number I guess!

Really really really peed off with EM, I only need the unlock code, why are they taking so long?

    I see.

There should be a number you call Tesco on from a standard landline, which you could have given them your PAC to and your current Tesco SIM / number details, then that would get the transfer going. You could the pop to the local market or small phone shop and get the phone unlocked for around £5.

Though maybe just as easy to go to Fresh, get the £15, go and get the phone unlocked from the local unlocker for around £5 and then call up Fresh for a new PAC and port to Tesco.

  • It was only a matter of time apparently

My business enterprise lecturer was discussing Easymobile with me about a month ago...i didnt really take any notice at the time though...and he was saying that the company was struggling and that it would eventually be taken over. It was great while it lasted with all the offers and free calls. Be sure to ask the new company shimmerbright to delete all your personal details (if you dont wish to be contacted by them or affiliates)...i say this because i cancelled my only account with Easymobile about a year ago and i've received the same email that most of you guys are!
  • Thanks Bex, I agree probably better to just move to Fresh now and then decide what to do once the credit has run out. Wish I'd known it was going to be difficult to get an unlock code and I would have just done that anyway and saved this last minute rush.

Me too, they don't respond to emails either and I'm really getting fed up now as I'm sitting here with two phones which are soon going to be useless!

There's certainly been nothing 'easy' about my experience with them.
