I'm surprised at some of the replies on here.

Both websites are online (though it says the easyM only until today), though were slow a couple of evenings ago. The phone still works, and the call queuing system tells you your position as you wait.

The Fresh offer is still available, and application for a PAC number comes within an hour.

For anyone that cannot log in to their account - this happened to me a couple of weeks ago. Then I found an email from them that told me the password had been rest. I assume someone had remembered their number incorrectly and triggered a reminder that came to me. So trigger a new reminder, enter this password then edit it back to your choice.

The two companies are already in dispute as a result of this, partly on the alleged damage to their brands, so ignorant and abusive comments about aviation safety are not in anybody's interests, including this forum

Whassup sweetie? Got shares in easy? Smug little remarks like that don't help either frankly. They have made a total mess of this.

Redux is right and doesn't deserve sarcastic abuse.
Stelios is furious about this but was powerless to stop it.

If anyone still has a credit balance (including vouchers/bonuses etc.) they don't know what to do with, I have been able to transfer my promotional bonuses to a Just Dial account for use dialling overseas. They are not the cheapest for overseas calls by far, but hey, if you're otherwise going to lose it? You can transfer out £3 or £5 repeatedly (I did £15) and you can access the account from a normal telephone with the PIN and a freephone number. Would work to dial mobile numbers too, though not terribly good value.

Thank you. I just managed to move all my remaining credit from 2 sim cards to Just-dial which would be handy for overseas calls. It was all the free credit given by Easymobile and so couldn't be moved to the bank account.

  • Well it looks like I'm stuffed. No unlock code. Can't get any reply from phone or email and it won't let me try to switch to fresh now. I've already paid for a tesco sim which I now can't use and in desperation bought an unlock code over the net which didn't work anyway. Last day to give tesco the PAC code so I don't know whether to or not as the phone is still locked and it looks likes easy sleazy has now just dumped us all. I'm furious. what an absolute joke of a service. If they make such a mess of a phone service how safe are their planes?!

If it makes you feel any better my story is exactly the same as yours, except I have two phones - mine and my sons. I've paid for and got my Tesco sims which are now probably going to be useless. After reading someones advice above I ordered the Fresh Sims as it seems they can just be transferred into the phone without needing to unlock it but they haven't arrived and I have a feeling they won't arrive at all now. We've only had the phones from Easymobile for 3 months and it looks as if we're going to have to buy new ones. My son is  as he loves his Nokia flip phone but I've told him I'll only be able to replace it with something very cheap... like the Virgin PAYG one that costs £20 with £30 of credit.

Really really silly question from complete mobile ignoramous here - when the Easymobile network goes will my son still be able to play all his (horrendously priced) games that he has downloaded onto his phone? Will it work without a Sim in it?

I've just received two letters stating my account is overdrawn and if I don't pay them the difference by the 18th December they will pass it on to a debt collection agency.

There was a little credit left when I ported out, but once they closed the account they have decided to take off £30 of bonuses.

Have called them up and they said they will clear that, but I'd keep an eye on it.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

    Ok sorry if been posted

But i had my sim like alot of others on the quidco deal. Now i havent used this at all. I have activated it and think there is £11 on it.

Now the £20 in quidco is tracked, is there gonna be a problem with this?

Also can i just use the credit to text and buy things?

I don't think using or not using your credit will affect Quidco

There are a few things you can use your credit for listed in this thread or a list of charities you can donate to by text listed http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=278583

If you don't find anything please consider:

Macmillan Cancer Support now uses WAP
    to increase donation revenue,

    Here’s how it works.
You donate money by sending SUPPORT to 85222
which then takes £3 from your mobile bill.

  • Well, thanks to easy mobile I now have no phone number for a week (until I am transferred to Virgin next Thursday) although I specifically asked just for a PAC they closed my account which put it £6 into the red, also was going to text donate half the £37 balance to charity and use the other half for just-dial as I have friends and family overseas. As of today all attempted calls to my mobile just get the message 'this number is temporarily unavailable' and I have been unable to make calls or send texts since Monday because of the negative balance. Just waiting for the debt collection letters from them now. :(

Have you tried your tesco sims in your easymobile phone? I bought a Nokia 6230i from Easymobile a couple of months ago and also a Nokia 1600 I bought some time ago. I asked for unlock codes from Easymobile on both these phones following the instructions but never received them.

However the new sims I got from T-Mobile work in both phones. This may be because Easymobile is locked to the T-Mobile network. But I believe both Fresh and Tesco are also on T-Mobile.
