  • I have two EasyMobile phones, I did ask for the unlock codes from EasyMobile but so far not received them. However received my sims from TMobile and they work fine in the EasyMobile phones.

I am wondering whether I will have a problem if I switch to another operator later, will my sims be locked to the TMobile network?

easyMobile was using T-Mob network, so that might explain why T-Mob sims work in these. Contact support online / by phone to push for unlocking codes....

Yes easyMobile were using the T-Mobile network now they are either unlocked stock, or they were only locked to the network infrastructure that being T-Mobile.

If they are only T-Mobile locked then they will work, with T-Mobile SIMs, Virgin SIMs, Fresh SIMS, M&S SIMs and easyMobile SIMs, all who use T-Mobile infrastructure.

Virgin use two locks, one that locks it onto T-Mobile and the other that locks it onto Virgin, so a Virgin locked phone needs unlocking to allow a T-Mobile, Fresh or M&S SIM.

It would seem strange that they would only T-Mobile lock them and not add the extra lock like Virgin do, so maybe they were selling unlocked (SIM free) stock, and any network SIM will work, just a case of trying an O2 (or Tesco), Vodafone or Orange SIM in the phone, if they work, then the phone isn't locked.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

Therefore if your still an EasyMobile PAYG user and you want to top up your credit to tide you over a few days - do it by phone.[/QUOTE]

I managed to pay my tiny amount online eventually. My card co rang to check it was an authorised payment for such a small amount! Be careful if topping up EM by phone to make sure they don't charge you 75p. You have to make clear you are only doing so because their website/shimmerbright website is not working.

Been with Tesco a few days. Their WAP settings won't work on my old phone. Plus EM continue to text me (I ported their no) which hopefully will stop soon.

hi, has anyone recieved their unlocking code for nokia 1100 bought from e-mob. I have bought 2, they keep saying,(when they answer);that they are having trouble with nokia obtaining them, etc, etc.I think they are just stalling,t-mobile say I don,t need to unlock it to use my new phones with them as they are locked to t-mob,not e-mob.just put my t-mob sim in? anyones info appreciated.
hi bextech. much appreciated your reply.I have tried o2 and it is barred, so it presumedly is locked. Also tried virgin sim, ok, they also piggyback t-mob, as do e-mob.I am still pushing for unlocking codes from e-mob,but time is running out? because I did not register the phones initially, I have lost 2x£20 airtime, and cannot get pac because I have no password or registered number. Can only hope it is not 2x locked,as virgin,or 1x by t-mob.hope this makes sense? thanks for for replying, more info much appreciated.

If you can't find the model, you can also try the one I posted.

    1) Can I get some ringtones for my phone using my EM credit?

    2) Does anyone know of any goodies that I can purchase using my credit?
