Sent about £££s of text messages last night to 84858 (Breast, walk, dog, hhiv). had a few quid remaining today and £40 on one sim but kept getting message sending failed? (I had good reception). Oh well........ decided to request fresh sims whilst I was at it.0

My balance was 1p and has been for a few days so signed on to cancel and it immediately changed to an overdraft of £2.00. I have sent an e mail to customer services to sort it, but has anybody else had this?
I don't think it has been posted, although I recall cancellations prior to the announced closure threw up some strange results which customer services just corrected upon request.0 -
pigeonpie wrote:EM deactivated my auto top up. They told me my phone would just go dead when my credit of £1 was used up. But it didn't and I owe them 40p. Text for balance wasn't working so I had no idea. I don't mind paying it but their website payment top up facility is down. They want me to phone their 0845 no for ?? mins to pay 40p. If I don't, do they have my card details from auto top up and will they hit me with 'admin' charges or some such, auto deducted from my card?
It's their fault for allowing a negative balance to happen. But I do owe them the princely sum of 40p. What to do good people? I am off to Tesco mob this evening taking my EM number.
Be careful though when running down your EM balance!
My 80p online payment failed, perhaps on a frozen webpage from the online secure facility of my Visa Delta card, which I hadn't used like this before.
I rang easyM, and the guy tried logging into my account and using my card details to top-up, but he was diverted to the card request for my online banking password - which neither he or I wanted to do.
I had a chat with the online secure department at the bank, who said my account and password had been set up even if I hadn't got the message on the website, and permission had been given for the payment, but it hadn't been applied for. [It seems to me that the issues were about the two websites talking to each other.]
Then I spoke to easyM again, and she said that I should try the transaction again.
I did and it worked - there is a facility to enter the top-up amount you want - so I suggest you try again online.
If it still doesn't work, try calling them on 01438846030 via your cheap calls provider from landline. They could attempt the top-up for you, and would waive the 75p for them doing mine, but it may have the same secure online banking issue that mine did. If it's still difficult, I reckon you'd talk them into waiving the 40p, but make sure you chat to them before the 3 days are up that they are warning about.0 -
If at first you don't succeed etc. They are now emailing me, telling me to log on to shimmer whatsit. Their online chat person failed to mention the 75p charge for top up. I'll see if they'll waive that. What a fuss over less than £1.
If I didn't think that somewhere they could ferret out my card details, I'd be tempted to have one more go and then forget it.
Btw Tesco activate but you 'aren't a customer' with 3 fav half price nos and 282 options for 48 hours after activation apparently. I think it takes even longer with the Port 1 code to get your fiver credit too. They also text you endlessly. Pity about EM really.0 -
Just had an email saying that Easymobile has changed its name to Shimmerbright.
What!??!
When i got the email i thought it would mean that i wouldn't have to bother changing to another provider as they had managed to find a new partner.
But it seems they are just changing their name until January when then close
After December 8th we will not be able to access our account details via the Easy Mobile account, we need to go to the Shimmerbright website
Very strange!0 -
If I helped or saved you money - Thank me
If I helped you spend some money - spank me
If I done both - :lipsrseal me:eek:0 -
time to merge these threads I think0

Also had an email with the same info. Easymobile will now be called Shimmerbright. The name seems better suited to a cleaning product rather than a mobile phone provider.0

If I helped you spend some money - spank me
If I done both - :lipsrseal me:eek:0 -
