Thanks for the tip, golddigger, I checked again and there is no single "CHG" in sight! Maybe you really did have his charges too!
I can't say that I understand this. I keep checking and checking, DD out, DD returned, DD out, DD returned, no charge in sight. This is most unusual. I know I can't claim what I can't see so where are they hiding them?
    Reclaimed thanks to this site:

Hello to all, I am after some advise re reclaiming bank charges. i am at the stage where I wrote to Lloyds to threaten to take to court for fees totalling £2300 however I have now incurred more fees since I sent that letter. My question is can I add this to original claim i.e. if it goes to court or do I need to start a new claim?

No as the branch would either do the request themselves or send it to the copy stmts unit.It all depends on how far back you wanted the stmts for.

Sorry, I haven't read the whole Lloyds thread, I am in a bit of a state today as I am trying to sort the OH's affairs (MCOL Capital Online etc.) I have looked through his Lloyds statements and they are a bit of a mess. I managed to locate three account numbers, one for a personal account, one for a business account and one for a business loan account. I can find £320 of charges in the business statement, but none whatsoever in the personal statements. That would be a reason for celebrating only that I think it is weird considering that all his statements had returned DD's left, right and centre and loads of letters about it stating that the overdraft was not agreed by them. At one point they even threatened to close his account due to arrears, he paid them in and the account was held open, so why the dickens can't I find any charges for bounced DD's anywhere? I am all over the place, looking through hundreds of statements which he mercifully kept, but otherwise he is so bad with his money that he is no help at all. He even doubted he could get charges back from the business account and I am going to prove him wrong! I also don't understand the situation with his business loan at all, I can only find one statement, and at some point in the past it was handed over to Wescot Credit to chase. He paid it off with my help (I have since got the money back), but doesn't that indicate he would have got charges on this loan as well at some point for non-payment? I am tearing my hair out here. Not a clue what I am doing anymore and not enjoying this Sunday at all. Sorry for the rant. Any clues on the above please?
It could be that the direct debits were cancelled by the bank but the companies were still trying to claim hence why they went in and out the account.

    What is my next step???

Sent various letters to LTSB asking for my money back each time and the replys i have are as follows 1st reply on 29th March 2006. 2nd reply on 30th May, 3rd reply on 9th August 2006. All of which say that the will not refund any fees as these fees are applied in agreement with the T&C's.

I then wrote to the FOS to which i had replys on 3rd Aug, 1st Sept, 29th Sept, 25th Oct, 20th Nov, 18th Dec. The replys were all saying they are too busy to deal with my complaint at the moment, which was fine.

I then got my final reply from FOS 4th Jan 2007, saying that LTSB had offered £170 refund when i have put in a claim for £701.00. So i refused this. They state in the letter that £170 is all that is due, put thats crap as i have statements proving that the figure is way more.

I wrote my final letter to LTSB to which i got a reply on 14th Feb 2007, after i said i was taking them to court. They said they would not be refunding me any more money.

As they are saying that from Jan 2003 the only fees applied were to a total of £170.00 but i have a total of £350+ intrest.

There is another £350 beofore this date. Im in a bit of a pickle as to what do i do next? Shall i take them to court of try with another letter?

    Thanks

If you have a court date then you should send the "court bundle" something like 14 days before the date. Consumer Action Group tell you all about this on their website. You need to register to read and ask questions but there isn't any charge & they are very helpful. I would suggest you register pretty fast with them( www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk ) just to make sure you understand everything.
  • hi' i also have incurred more charges since my letter stating i would take them to court, my court date is soon do i add the charges on, or do i have to do a seperate claim? help is much appriciated
