Hi there
I got my statements dead on the 40 days limit, so Ive sent LLoyds the first letter. i sent it recorded, but he post office say they have no idea if it got there, even though I asked for it to be signed. I sent the same letter on the same day to Halifax and they have paid up.
Any ideas what I should do now? I assume Lloyds have received my letter, but I have no proof of this. Should i send it again??
the post office are terrible - I sent 4 letters together - the ones to the other end of the country were signed for the next day, the one to lloyds (3 doors from the post office) has not been tracked. TERRIBLE!Sealed Pot no 20110 -
Can anyone remember how long ago it was LloydsTSB used to charge you £3 per day for being over your overdraft limit. I have went back 5 years on there website and am hoping it was 6.
Would it be the same process in claiming all the £3 per day charges.0 -
My experience was Lloyds were slow at replyingIn control of finances :beer:0

I remember that being the case 24 years ago ..my first nasty banking experience. Dont know when they stopped tho as I shut down the account sharpish sorry. If in force lately then yes it would be the same process as claiming other applicable charges as it was an charge for going overdrawn and not interest.0

In the middle of claiming from Lloyds, does anyone know if Lloyds will take money back (if I win) for the overdraft and then pay the difference to me, not sure please help. Thanx0

Probably though personally I think in all fairness that you should receive it all first and continue to pay the overdraft at whatever rate you previously agreed, you would continue to incur interest fees if you did but at least it would be your choice whether to pay it all off in one go and not theirs.
Check your banks terms and conditions it may give an indication there.0 -
Hi, I am in the process of reclaiming my bank charges for the last six years, I have used the template letter from this site and enclosed a cheque for £10. I sent the letter on the 12/02/07 and haven't heard anything yet. Does anyone know how long Lloyds Tsb usually take or do they wait right up until the 40 day limit. I stupidly sent my letter by normal post ie not special delivery or recorded. Any advice is much appreciated.Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings

Where did you send the letter as if you sent it to the branch they they would have had to send it to their customer care dept at Head office hence the delay.0
