hi Dakinski, you should definitly send a second letter, dont give up. I also received the same letter as your self last week and have sent a second letter. I am not giving up no matter how far it goes. even if it leads to the financial ombusman service. Using this you can actually claim compensattion of up to £100,000 pounds.
The lloydstsb do have a 2 month queue of letters with people of asking for bank charges back. I aint waiting that period and will push them to the max.
I am currently waiting for a response from the secong letter, 2 days late now and will contact the courts tomorow.0 -
I'm thinking about charging ltsb £35 for each letter that I send them, has anyone else done the same and if so did they get a positive result?0

I have asked for my 6 years worth of statements from Lloyds TSB. This morning I received just the last 3 months. I am fuming, I have tried phoning them and all I get is their customer service team is very busy. Whats the next step.

They have 40 days to provide the information, some banks send out in batches and you can complain if don't receive all the information in the 40 days.0 -

Has Anybody had the pleasure of trying to re-claim there charges against Yorkshire Bank. I am currently just about to to start to re-claim my charges and was wondering if there is anything that would be usefull to know. ie Do they use delaying tatics with statements, waiting till the last minute to award charges back or even closing of accounts.0

i sent mine away on the 19 of jan with a chq. Called with a week to go as chq had not been cashed and no statements and they said there was nothing on the computer stating this request. Spoke to guy in customer care giving me the drabble about you now the easiest way in not to get them in the first place yada yada yada.
The statements did arrive with 2 days to spare so it looks like it is not getting put on the acc and i was also not charged but he did say you can request these in your branch or over the phone.
sent first letter asking for £1820 here goes :rotfl:0 -
We are in the same position as you, we noticed from the success stories that we could't see any for Yorkshire Bank either. Just sent our 6 year statement request last week but I'm sure from what we have read so far that Y Bank arn't quick about it!
But we are prepared to go the distance, already set up our new bank account so no probs there.:p
Will keep you posted on events.0 -

I sent my statement request to YB on the 22/01/07 giving them 40 days (so I'll go from 23/01/07. They sent a reply saying, "Thank you for your recent letter requesting details of charges applied to your account....blah blah..."
"Within the terms of the Act we have 40 days in which to provide you with the information blah blah"
Now I think I'm right in saying I use MY 40 days and not theirs in which case (and I aint had no statements from my friendly postman yet) this will be this Sunday the 4th. Then it's "you have 7 days before I start court proceedings and also I have to report them to the ombudsman....[gulp]

Hi goldigger,
you can only go back to July 2002 with Lloyds online statements unfortunantly.
Cheers
