Hi All, I Am New To This Forum But Have Read The Posts Almost Daily, I Plucked Up The Courage To Request Bank Charges Back On Two Accounts From Lloyds Tsb Sent Them The Initial Letter Requesting The Charges Be Refunded And They Have Replied Today On The 14th Day Basically Saying That They Think The Charges Are Fair And That They Cant Agree To Cancel My Charges (cancel Them, I Have Already Paid 6 Years Charges!!) They Have Ofered To Help Refer My Complaint To The Financial Ombudsman But Basically Have Told Me To Go Away And Will Close My File On 23/04/07. Has Anyone Else Had This From Lloyds Tsb And What Happened Next, Should I Follow On Now With The 2nd Letter? Fingers Crossed!!

Yes, It Did, Where Did Your Letter Come From? Was It The Recovery Centre At Andover And Signed Debbie Gilbert? What Are You Going To Do Next?

Hi jo.o - welcome to MSE.

As a general point, it's best to not post with capital letters at the beginning of each word! It takes longer to type and is also, in some peoples opinion's, harder to read. Not shouting at you, just trying to advise you.

Right, onto the point at hand, no bank ever wants to part with their [as they see it] "hard-earned cash".

Just go ahead and send the 2nd letter!

You'll get you money. In fact I'd say that you'll probably have it by the end of March-beginning of April.

Good luck (not that you need it!) :)

the usual answer is stick to your own time frame

having said that it took ages before mine showed up as being delivered, nearly 2 weeks later than the others i sent at the same time plus that particular letter was for DPA, but i would keep going with it anyway

    Thanks nel,

seems I tempted fate as I have just come home to find their standard letter waiting for me.

    On to letter 2

(incidentally it's still not confirmed on Royal Mail Track and Trace!!)

    Cheers,

lol, yes, Debbie Gilbert, team manager, customer service recovery centre, Andover.

Glad Im not the only one who is 8....

It is a funny letter though, they are 'talking' to the OFT?

Going to write a second letter tonight, well, tomorrow as I am so tired!
  • Just to say that I have sent my second letter after Debbie Gilbert sent me the same reply as above to my 1st letter. BUT I sent my 2nd letter about 3-4 weeks ago and have heard nothing AND the tel no on the letter for Andover is constantly engaged. Yes I am on a DMP that they are aware and I am entitled to reclaim but they are dragging their heels something chronic !

Debbie Gilbert must be on Prozac dealing with us lot !..I wonder if she reads this great website and realises that she is fighting an ever so hard battle !!
    Ha ! Ha !

    Anyway,,should I wait 40 days then ? Any ideas

    Thanks
    Sally
  • Sorry to be a pain,

I have read the answer to this question on here previously but do you think I can find it again anywhere!!?

I'm doing my 2nd letter and just need to know which court to add in the relevant area. I think I read somewhere on here that it is just my local County Court but as I said, can't find it tonight??

Also am I right in guessing that the Civil Justice Centre is what would be classed as a county court as opposed to Crown or Magistrates Court? Can't find a "County Court"?

    Thanks in advance,
    DM
  • can I claim back the £10 a day interest that I've been charged for being over my overdraft?
