    Woops, I made a boo-boo.

I filed a claim on the mco web site, for the full amount, but Lloyd's have already paid me £750 and I didn't deduct this from the total on the claim form, although I did add in the notes that they had already paid me 750, and that i would be claiming for the full amount, less what they have paid me already.

Does this make my claim invalid? I've no idea why I did it, I only checked it today to see what I had written!!
  • Phone MoneyClaim and ask them.
  • Can anyone help, i asked the above bank for 6 years statements and was told there are 92 at £5 pound each, shock.

I then found details on this site and issue them with Martins £10 letter, i was told it would take 40 days is this correct???????

Also has anyone won money back from N&Peterborough Yet.?????

    Regards

    Hello,

Just wondering if any one else who is reclaiming charges from Lloyds have had any luck.

On saturday i recd a letter from lloyds saying as a gesture of goodwill they were paying £750 into my account which happened on saturday lunchtime. I never agreed to this and they state in their letter that this is their final response.

The total i am looking to claim back is £1450, should i proceed with the money claim online?

    Thanks

This £750 seems to be a standard gesture by Lloyds at the moment. Write back to them and tell them you will accept the £750 as a partial payment but are proceeding to court for the remainder. Have a look back through the posts on this thread to see if other users have phoned them at this stage and negotiated a better offer.
  • The bank has 40 days in which to provide the information. Please read Martin's article and the Reclaim Help Thread, linked in my signature.
  • Hi,
Can anyone please advise us if we are able to reclaim charges from the Yorkshire Building Society? If so, which address do we send our initial letter to?

    Thanks
    Anyone:confused:
    Halifax: claimed £1,028, received £1,028
Yorkshire Building Society: claimed £1,070, received £1,134.20
    Co-Operative Bank: claimed £560, received £575
BOS Mastercard: claiming £184, 2nd letter sent 27/3/07
Capital One Visa 1: claiming £439, 2nd letter sent 27/3/07
Capital One Visa 2: claiming £842, 2nd letter sent 27/3/07

  • Hi Solarman, Thanks for the reassurance. I just got back my first letter of reply from Merrion Way, and was looking to see how successful otheres had been. Your message cheered me up, and I'm glad that the Mercantile court might take it further.
Just spending time gaining enthusiasm for sending next letter, though they did reply to first quite promptly.
The fact they sent a letter diverting me to the complaints procedure was a clever tactic, though just read on another thread that I need to write back and clarify this isn't a complaint it is a request for money back that is an illegal charge on my account. I love the way they send the blurb that goes with my account defending their illegal acitivity, as though fobbing me off with the gospel according to their laws outstrip the law of the land.
  • Thanks 'gotnobread' ---letter I sent earlier got posted to solarman, but intended to post it to you. Great post uplifting and inspiring........
  • Hi All,

I'm just adding up my Lloyds TSB charges and I've noticed that several 'Overdraft Usage Fees' were added to my account between Sept. 2001 and Feb. 2002. Initially it was for £5, but it increased to £25. It doesn't appear on my statements at any time after that despite being in the overfraft for most of the time. Can I claim this amount, or is it considered a service charge?

    Many thanks,
    Tina
  • Hi Guys this is my first posting so please bear with me! Sent a letter to LLoyds two weeks ago and not heard a dicky bird. Has anyone had the same experience and wonderd if anyone can help me with the next stage?

    Cheers richerbytheday:confused: :T
