I'm new on this site.In fact I'm new to all this.I'm going to try to get my son's bank charges back from LTSB.I understand from reading posts on here that they are one of the harder ones to get your money back from.I'm scared stiff cos knowing my luck I'll be the first one to actually have to go to court and loose.Whats the worst that can happen to me ?.Ive written the first letter to get his statements for the 6 years and will post that off.I dont understand all the jargon on here about court etc,so will some nice kind person talk me through each stage as I get to it ,in plain english that even I will understand. If I am successfull in this claim I will do the same with the other store cards that he had.One at a time though as I think that will be enough to cope with.many thanks in advance.0

OK, you wouldn't be the first person to be aprehensive. It can be a daunting prospect taking on a big powerful organisation such as a bank but you have alot to gain and little to lose.
What could happen depends on the particulars of your own claim. Please read the article in my signature and it should explain in clear terms the process. If you still have specific questions come back and people will be happy to help you.0 -

Hi nickmack,
I have noticed in the link it starts to say that it is better to use your local branch for court details.
I am just about to send the first letter asking for the charges to be repaid, can i just hand this into my branch and get a receipt for it and same for the following letters.
thanks0 -
My thoughts go out to all of you.just the thought of this undertaking is making me quake in my boots and feel sick. Those of you that are nearer to the court date must feel worse than me.I feel worried about posting the first letter as ones I do that I have to keep going whatever happens .I just hope I have the courage to ignor the letters and hold steadfastly to the vision at the end.Good luck to all of you.0

Put the first letter into your branch and if you get a reply from the bank then send the next letter to that address.0 -

I'm in the same boat Chrysalis ... does anyone know if the bank can automatically use your reclaimed charges to pay this?0 -
Hello,
Just wondering if any one else who is reclaiming charges from Lloyds have had any luck.
On saturday i recd a letter from lloyds saying as a gesture of goodwill they were paying £750 into my account which happened on saturday lunchtime. I never agreed to this and they state in their letter that this is their final response.
The total i am looking to claim back is £1450, should i proceed with the money claim online?
Thanks0
