I've just found out they've submitted their defence. So I'll be getting a date shortly no doubt.
Must admit to bottom being a bit twitchy now.
Do they try and contact you to settle before the hearing, or is it best to contact them?
I'd only just sent them a letter yesterday saying that I'd accept the £750 as part payment only! Seems they can move quickly when they want to. Considering this has been going on since mid November last year, they sure know how to grind you down.
Not looking forward to the prospect of a court appearance....

Generally it's recommended you correspond by letter.
If you are within the 40 days for them supplying DPA information then you should wait before contacting them. Phoning them is very unlikely to hurry anything along.
If the time is up, I suggest a letter to the bank letting them know they have failed in their obligation under the DPA and you will be informing the Data Commissioner. This should get things moving.0 -
Ok I have read this whole Lloyds TSB thread, and all the articles on the site. I have also read a lot on the CAG site. After an initial fear last year of joining the gang (large overdraft, fear of account closure) I finally decided to jump in and have a go.
I have internet banking so calculated my total charges and sent my first letter by recorded delivery on the 15th Feb. Since then I have tracked it with Royal Mail and as of today, it is still showing as unconfirmed delivery. The address I sent it to was one of the ones mentioned on this site:
Lloyds TSB Bank PLC
25 Gresham Street
London
EC2V 7HN
Anyway the Royal Mail advised that as they are a big company, it would be unfair to have somebody stand and sign for all the mail every morning while the postman waits for them to do it. As a result they do a bulk delivery and then the company (LTSB in this case) will check them off and return the cards to Royal Mail when completed. Having said this she did advise that she would expect delivery of my letter to be confirmed by now.
She said I would have to leave it 15 working days before claiming an undelivered mail item, which is not really the point.
Anyway my question to you helpful lot is, do I just go ahead and send my 2nd letter regardless of the Royal Mail confirming delivery of my first letter, or do I wait to see the outcome of the delivery of my first one.....which would give them an extra week?
Thanks,

the usual answer is stick to your own time frame
having said that it took ages before mine showed up as being delivered, nearly 2 weeks later than the others i sent at the same time plus that particular letter was for DPA, but i would keep going with it anyway0 -

yes i agree but i have stupidly sent 2 x £10 cheques one to tsb and the other to Halifax and not written down which one was for which....one of them have been cashed and halifax SAY its not them but i'm not so sure, so i really could do with a number for that particular dept as Lloyds TSB just to see if it was them or not0 -
