    Hi everyone,

Received the initial letter back from Lloyds telling me they believed they were still in the right. Do I send the next letter to their customer relations department in Andover (where their letter came from)?

Anyone have any info on this?

  • Hi
I am new to this site, discovered it yesterday and it is great!

I had a nervous breakdown 13months ago and have been unable to attend my job, had to live on £70pw and have ended up in serious debt and have received endless bank charges,

I have completed step one today to re-claim these from Lloyds TSB, printed the letter and posted via my branch with a Ten pound postal order, The Lady in the bank says I will have to pay for duplicate statements to work out my charges, is this true,

I am still suffering with my health and they are due to take £160 from me next week, this will eat up my incapacity benefit and is adding to my stress and leaving me nothing to live off,

Could anyone offer me any advise or support please, I am in a very fragile frame of mind, am also about to be re-possesed and want to sort out this mess I am in, Is it worth sticking with the Lloyds Tsb claim or will my awful credit rating be considered in court and just add to my problems of then having no bank account?

    Thanks

    Kayla

Send the letter back to the department that sent it to you.

As regards the link in your signature its against the rules and that will be why it is taken out.

As you have used the template letter quoting the Data Protection Act the bank will send you the information either in the form of lists or duplicated statements. If you just ask for duplicate statements the bank will charge for them which will be what the person you spoke meant.

Is it worth sticking with the Lloyds Tsb claim or will my awful credit rating be considered in court and just add to my problems of then having no bank account?

Follow the step by step guide in Martin's article, link in my signature, and your claim will be fine.

    and

o/draft usage fee £20.00 each one.

    Regards,

    Brendan.
hi there broomo how long did it take for you to get statements
  • Hiya, I sent the first letter to lloyds and they just fobbed me off. Sent letter 2 and recieved no reply after over a month so started to claim process (paid £80.00) at 12.00am yesterday (22/01/06). At 2.00pm the same day I recieved a letter from lloyds offering me £600 plus they would waive my next charges of £195. So all together I got £800 - I was claiming £1000. They said the money would be in my account in a couple of days. I cant beleive I started the process and paid £80.00 only to reciev a letter 14 hours later!! So my advice is to not be to hasty starting the court proccess - be patient and with a bit of luck they should give you an offer. Also, they haven't closed my account yet and have not mentioned doing so, so fingers crossed! Also if this has happened to anyone else I would like to know how long it took for the money to go through. The letter is dated the 20th and I recieved it on the 22nd, they said 'a few days' so am just waiting. xxx
  • with regard to statements - if you've not already got online banking then get it cos I have it and have access to all my statements. I just added the charges up from there. xxx
