Hi,
Can anyone please advise us if we are able to reclaim charges from the Yorkshire Building Society? If so, which address do we send our initial letter to?
Thanks0 -
I am so glad I decided to claim back my charges against lloyds. Sent SAR last month, a letter arrived yesterday morning informing me that they are gonna charge me £35 for unpaid standing order which would've taken me £2 over my o/d limit!!
Was stuck in London so needed to take money out for train so s/o didnt go through. How can they justify that?harder, better, faster, stronger0 -

Hi peeps, I live in Scotland but my account is with TSB, does that mean I can take them to court in England as this is where they are registered?0

Im trying to reclaim back £1,200 from the TSB, ive written to them sending off what they owe me and theyve sent me a letter from the TSB from another part of the country full of the usuall crap stuff saying the charges are correct and if id like to get in touch with this woman to discuss them. Ive tried to ring the number but i keep getting engaged. Im on to the 3rd stage now - theyve had more than 7 days to respond to my letter - i wrote it on the 3rd February - is it now i write to my court ? im panicking and please forgive me if its already been written on here but im struggling to know what to do. im gonna go ahead with it. can anybody give me any advice? what letter do i send to the court?
thanks (a newbie)0 -
You don't write to the court but go through MoneyClaim (linked in the article) and file online, please have a read of Martin's article which is linked in my signature.0

You need to look at this website to see your options, you would also need to have an address in England for yourself.

Amount Claimed: £3120.09 (inc of interest & court costs)
5 Dec 2006 - requested list of all charges
10 Jan 2007 - received list of charges
18 Jan 2007 - sent first letter requesting charges back
25 Jan 2007 - received standard letter from lloyds saying I'm sorry you are unhappy ... blah blah
1 Feb 2007 - sent 'letter before action'
No reply received from Lloyds by 15 Feb so started court claim (couldn't file via MCOL as they don't accept Visa Electron) - Cost £120 - went to local court to file it
22 Feb 2007 - received letter from court saying Lloyds had acknowledged and planned to defend - they now have 28 days to put in a defence
It's really annoying that Lloyds are putting people through this 'defence' stage as from what I've read on here it looks like they have no intention of actually going to court - unless we're going to be the first!!!!
I'll keep you posted!0
