You haven't had a letter saying if you didn't repsond then......

    Have you?

Don't do anything with it and don't sign anything.
  • Hi guys, first time posting on the site, although I have been a long time visitor and the site is fantastic. I am currently going through a claim with Lloyds TSB and have submitted my claim to the court. Total claim is £3789, today heard from Lloyds and they have offered me £750:They have said I can write to the ombudsman, but feel I will hold out for the full amount. Has anyone else had this response?
  • hi
no i havent signed anything the just says "generally we dont agree to adjust any of these charges, but i can tell you that on this occasion we are prepared to reduce the charges by repaying you £545.
it also says that this is the last letter they will be sending me and if im not satisfied to get intouch with financial ombudsman but it is already going through moneyclaim.

I'm with Lloyds too and its taking me forever to get my money back, as with lots of other Lloyds customers. We will get there though.

You need to reply to them and say you are accepting this is part payment only and are continuing with your court case.

I sent a letter to my branck of Lloyds TSB on Januaru 17th along the with th required £10, to ask for a list of my charges so that I can claim them back, and have heard nothing from them not even an acknowledgement! Have others had the same lack of response from their banks?
I didn't even bother, i went stright into the bank, sat there for about 45 minutes with an adviser, pulling off and printing all the charges that have been made to my account. And in the end i didn't even end up paying the £10 fee, i think they took pitty on me!!!

  • Hi Everyone,

Why is it that TSB take so long to write back?? I've just got very worried when i read that one women had been told the bank advised her that Lloyds won't sign for recorded/special delivery items at thats what ive been doing. It makes me sooooooo angry that when they want something from me, there soon on the blower or writing the shi*y letters!

Im on my Final letter, what do you advise me to do? Ive been waiting 14 days for a response, and still not got any reply, should i just wait or send another, and another and another??? Will it only end when i take it to court, as it WILL go to court, as there not getting away with it.

You don't wait for any response after the time you give the bank. This is the same if they say they will reply in X weeks. You move to the next step as soon as your own deadlines are up if the bank hasn't made an offer you want to accept.
