I am going through my bank statements now....
I am just going through my on-line bank statements whist I wait on the papercopies arriving.
What exactly am I looking for? Can anyone who has gone through their Lloyds TSB statements tell me what is entered on the statement as an unlawful account charge. I have looked so far and can only see FEE, but that is the fee I pay monthly for my select account.
Any help appreciated, I have called TSb and given them a kick up the bum today, becasue they claim to have lost my original letter. They said you can also request over the phone and he said 40 days from today!! I replied NO WAY, the original letter was dated 22nd Jan, I have copies and I am more than happy to send to the commisioner.
He then marked my request as urgent and updated the notes to say if I hadn't heard anything else by 3rd march then I would escalate with another letter and complaint to commisioner.
If anyone's first letter is getting ignored by LLoyds TSB, call phone bank on 0845 3 000 000 and ask to be put through to the "account maintenance team" they are open until 10pm. - they will actually take the £10 Data protection charge from tyour bank account, rather than a cheque
thanks for all your help.....Just paid off my large mortgage 5 years early and loving it.0 -

If you have any queries regarding what your charges are phone the bank and ask if this is overdraft interest or a penalty charge.
and have a look at previous posts in this Lloyds thread.0 -
Hi there,
Just joined and I'm in the process of getting a court order as Lloyds tsb haven't reply to my second letter. I've tried to phone them and it's engaged allday long so i've had enough and going to fill in the form on moneyclaim. Could any one advise me calculating the interest on my charges as I haven't done this or is it to late now? Do I calculate each one seperate?:0 -
Use the Interest Calculator, linked below... and yes you need to input each charge separately.

this is what I have done, see my story I typed yesterday.Just paid off my large mortgage 5 years early and loving it.0 -
I would like to know this. They are a large bank and nobody has mentioned them on the "has your account been closed" thread so perhaps they do not close accounts?
When complaining in the first place, is it advisable to ask what their stance on this is?0 -
Rex_Mundi wrote:Any offer the bank makes to you will be in full and final settlement of your claim. They normally send you a form to sign stating you accept on these terms. This means you cannot reopen your claim in the future and claim the rest of the money if you settle for a lower amount.
Thanks Rex, however i was assured that the offer made to me will not be subject to my filling in of this form. As if that were the case, i would not accept the offer and would proceed straight to MCOL. Just have to wait and see what happens.. I will keep you posted though!0 -
Edinburghlass wrote:But that the maximum they can offer under the goodwill scheme is £750.
Please be aware of what you have posted, they are not saying they will offer £750 but that the maximum they are authorised to offer is £750. This does not mean that a claim of £750 will attract an offer of £750.
I assume you have been offered £750 as your claim is over £1,000 but thats not to say that someone claiming £750 will get a similar offer.
Edited to add, if you're happy with the offer thats good, and your attitude is correct its money in your hand now
Very true, they are nearly always going to offer less than you claim for,and yes my £750 is because the charges are more than £1000. They more than likely have cut off points depending on the amout claimed. I hadn't meant to mislead anyone.0
