hi everyone
please can anyone tell me do i just address my corespondence to the manager of my branch of lloyds tsb or is there a address i need to send it to as i have been told my account is in collections whatever that means0 -
Hi all.
I've had a current a/c with LloydsTSB for just a little over 2 years. In that time I've managed my a/c pretty well and never went into unauthorised o/d (never bothered to arrange an o/d anyway).
Anyway, in December I managed to go 36p in the red for 24 hours and guess what!!! yes that's right, in January I received the dreaded though expected letter from LloydsTsb telling me I will be charged £30.00 O/D excess fee on the 1st Feb for this unauthorised borrowing.
Now, ok, I should have been more on the ball and not let this have happened in the first place. But 30 quid for 36 pence for only 24 hours is bordering on the ridiculous.
I rang their C/S and more or less just got told there's nothing I can do about it as when I opened the a/c I signed up for their T&Cs as well.
As from the 1st of this month when they debited my a/c with this charge, I have been slowly fuming and today have decided they are not going to keep my money without a fight.
Today, I have just sent off the 1st letter, politely asking for my money back. Now then, before I receive a reply from them what I'd like to know is if I get a negative reply from them, can I threaten them with taking them to the small claims court for the amount of £30.00 or is the minimum amount the courts starts at larger than this.
Sorry if I've waffled on a bit but any advice will certainly be appreciated. I thank you in advance. Cheers.0 -
I got my money back just by complaining through the ombudsman.
the om asked awkward questions and rather than answer they agreed to pay up!0 -

Hi there all. I sent my initial letter off (to the address given here) by registered post about 3 or 4 weeks ago and have heard nothing at all. Should I go into my branch and ask where my statements are, or is this normal? Thanks in advance :-D, T xxx0

They have 40 days (just under 6 weeks) to send your statements. You can't make any complaint until after this. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Can you claim for £12 charges? or is only the £30+ ones?
Do you have to change banks after a claim? I only want to make a claim of less that £100. Lloyds have to been good to me other than a few charges!
Also for a friend: Can you claim if you have been declared bankrupt? My friend was made bankrupt in 2005 but was charged £1000's before then with Lloyds.
Thanks
Anyone?
Also, are late payment fee's inc in these claimbacks?? =/0 -

Morning all
Know that I have been successful with bank charges from Halifax my husband still has an account with Lloyds TSB. Having looked at the file this morning there are quite a few charges on there and I would like to get the ball rolling. We haven't got all the statements so can some one please tell me ,
How much to request all the statements.
and
What address to send the first letter to.
Many thanks all.
Have a lovely day with this fine weather round the country.:rotfl::A Tomorrow's just another day - keep smiling0 -
hi everyone
why does it take someone only 3 weeks to get there money back and some it takes just before court date, does it take into effect where your branch is and the total amount surly if lloyds payback 1 persons charges then they have set there own precedent i might be short on the uptake but thats how i see it
thanks helen/steve0
