Which bank is it?0

Does any one have experience with this bank, I am trying to reclaim £994 of my sons bank charges, today received a letter from them saying they cant agree to cancel the charges, they make their charging system as fair as possible blah blah blah, we are about to send letter number 3 but just wondered if anybody has had any success with Lloyds.
The prospect of this going to court is very scary!!!
Thanks,

There have been lots of success on the www.consumeractiongroup.com forum. I hasten to add I'm not one of them..................yet!
I have to agree it is scary but if we win then it will have been worth it all!0 -

Please can you tell me what to do. I certainly need help. I have sent the second form saying that if they do not respond I will take it to court, but that's the last thing I want to do. My business is not in great shape at the moment, so I am miserably desperate. Please can you help?
Thanking you in anticipation.
You have to wait and see if they reply to that letter in your time frame, if they don't then you have to take them to court.0 -
Hi can anyone help?
I have just had a reply from Lloyds since sending my first letter to reclaim bank charges. It actually took two letters but I am actually amazed I had a reply even though its obviously a standard letter they are sending to everyone. I am now not sure as to reply to the letter saying yes I am to proceed and how to word it or i go straight to the court proceedings.
The letter basically goes on about how they do everything they can to help customers avoid getting these charges (what a load of rubbish!)and how open they are about the charges from the start etc etc
It ends saying if you are happy with the letter don't reply and they will close the file or if we cannot come to an agreed solution after this they will help refer my complaint to the financial ombudsman service for independent advise.
Can anyone please give me any advice I have to reply by 19th March
Thank you0 -
You'll find templates in Martin's article for all the letters you need, yes this is a standard letter so if you haven't already sent the letter before action you need to send that one. If you have already sent that one then you need to start court proceedings.0

Hi,
I'm currently taking on Lloyds TSB for £200 which like many of you is through unfair bank charges. I sent off my first letter and recieved a reply (15 days after I specified 14 days) obviously trying to drag it out a bit. I didn't recieve a satisfactory reply at all, just said that it's fair for them to charge me because "when you go over your overdraft things have to happen quickly. we have to do this and that blah blah" "we offer our *New* account holders information on our bank charges" etc etc. Oh and what the hell is the financial obundsman *something like that*?
Basically just said no we're not refunding you, I have sent off the second letter today which says if they do not respond within 7 days etc, so I look forward to that. However what I find hillarious is that recently I handed in a cheque which currently hasn't cleared for me, but...... they can take out ANOTHER charge although I can't actually touch my funds.... Totally amazing and the fact I've complained about this and they still go ahead and charge me is hillarious. Can someone please tell me about their rifts with Lloyds as I'm assuming I'll be better off banging my head against a wall.
Will this be a tough cookie? Sorry it's such a long post, Look forward to hearing from someone.
