I received and sent back my Allocation Questionnaire, the deadline for doing this was the 23rd Jan.
Can anyone tell me when I can expect to hear from the court about the next stage.
Thanks

Beate wrote:Since I read about the bank charges thing I have helped my friend to look at his past bank charges with both Capital One and Lloyds TSB. With Lloyds the situation is as follows: he had both a personal and a business account with Lloyds, and on the business account, judging from all the statements and letters he got to that effect, they have charged him £320 in "Fees for Unpaid Cheque", "Fees for Unpaid Items" and "Charges as Advised", whatever the latter means. I assume it's all more or less the same thing, as it's always £27.50 (in the beginning) and £30 every time later on.
Now, the weird part is that, although there are countless "returned DD's" on the statements of his personal account, I cannot find any fees charged for the privilege of doing so. Can that be right? Why would they charge his business account every time, but not his personal one? I am more than puzzled but can of course not get any charges back which aren't shown. Am I missing something here, does it make sense to send the letter asking for all the charges details and spend £10 on it? His statements are awash with "Returned DD" posts, and in the end they closed his account down because of that, and they expect me to believe they didn't charge him because of it? What do you think happened here? Don't tell me they were nice for once!
Could I bump this up a second time and ask for people's opinions PLEASE??Reclaimed thanks to this site:

Can anyone tell me why Lloyds TSB appear to be the only ones playing games on this. They lost my initial letter which I sent on the 13th December so I have had to start again at the beginning.0

Your question is "what do you think happened here?" I have absolutely no idea but I would phone the bank and ask them!0

Hey everyone.
Just before Christmas, I sent out my first letter asking for over £4000 of bank charges back. I received a reply saying, "we are sorry you are not happy, but we think the rates are fair". To which I replied with the standard, "give it back or else!" letter from this site.
I had a reply on Tuesday, saying that they still believe it is fair, but have agreed to pay £750 as they feel "this is what they would have to spend on defending the case should it go to court."
This money is now in my bank account.
Can I or should I still take this further?
Do I use the online court money demand thing next?0 -
am curious as to which bank you are claiming from?0

Lloyds TSB!0

Demand that they send you proof of how the charges are fair, ask under which clause in their terms and conditions each charge has been applied against otherwise you're taking court action - give them no more than 14 days to respond. On the 15th day, use the Moneyclaim site to seek back the rest. It's absurd that they expect you to accept less than a quarter of the value you asked for.0

Ring them up, tell them that you don't want the £750 and inform them that you're taking it further. Then send them the letter about court proceedings.
Which bank is it, anyway?0 -
Thanks guys, 14 days it is!
I shall post this today and keep you all updated, 4grand is quite a lot of money!0
