    and im brickin it
Don't worry, I was where you are a couple of months ago. Next I think they'll send you a court date, mine is 26th Feb, which I recieved in December I think. I phoned the solicitors (Sechiari ...) on Monday, the man was very helpful, saying at the moment they're dealing with the ones who's cases are due in court end Jan at the moment, and I should recieve a letter in about 2 weeks. He asked if I'd definitely only claimed for what I should, and said that I'll recieve a full refund soon! So don't worry about a thing, they might ask you to send copies of all the statements with charges, send one to the court and one to the solicitors, that's about it hopefully. The only problem is that you're about 2 months behind me, so don't go spending the money yet. I'll post on here as soon as I hear any more.
    Relax:cool:

Hi - another first timer here

Sent off my first approach last week and got a (quick) reply today, rejecting my claim for £820 including interest, on the grounds that the charges are fair.

Onto the next stage it is, but one sentence in the standard reply got my goat and I wonder if I should address it in my follow up letter.

The letter says "we do everything we can to help our customers avoid these charges altogether"

That's as may be (yeah right!) but on at least one occasion that I identified in my statement trawl, they have continued to honour my use of my cashcard in shops etc (not ATM withdrawals), and then stiffed me for going over my limit and beyond. Should I raise this point?

Thanks for all the advice so far - will keep you posted how I get on.

Apologies for posting this again - it may have been missed at the bottom of the previous page. Grateful for any advice.

funny then that they still take the charges if you don't have enough in your account to cover them, leading to more charges!
Personally I wouldn't bother, it's just a standard letter, and I'm sure that it wouldn't make a blind bit of difference. Just carry on as usual, and feel smug when you recieve ALL of your money back, plus interest. :rotfl:
  • Hi All
I am going to help my daughter apply for her charges back from lloyds tsb
The only concern is that she has a bank loan with them
Can they make her pay back the loan in full straight away if they do close her account

    Thank you
    Jo

no cause the loan has different argreements so it has nothing to do with her bank account.

The loan is covered under a seperate agreement, so as long she is up to date with payments it should be fine.
  • Amount claimed £2420 inc costs

    Hi all,
got to the scary bit, got to go to court tomorrow, had no word from anyone, unfortunately I've been in hospital quite a bit (RTA), & the good lady doesn't know how to drive my pc, so it's been a while since I've been able to do anything. Has anyone got to the doors of the court before, starting to worry a bit now:eek: Lloyds seem to be the ones that people keep away from, or they don't report anything  Will post again Hopefully with good news, could do with some after such a c**p start to the new year (RTA, car nicked,& son broke his leg) & it's still January!!
Thanks to everyone though, especially Martin
