I agree. Lloyds are so arrogant and stubborn. Why they don't just pay up is unbelievable. They should take a leaf out of the halifax's book who are actually paying up after a couple of letters, or a phone call to them and a little negotiation. Many other banks are doing the same. Barclays & Lloyds are definitely the worst. Myself & partner are at the bailiffs stage with Lloyds and we have still received no payment from them nor had a letter offering settlelment - they are more than relaxed about it getting to the bailiffs stage. Even more annoying is that myself & partner have now had to take out a loan to cover some debts because we have not been able to reclaim our bank charges - which pushed us into debt in the first place.
All I hope that Lloyds realise is that by allowing people to pursue them through the courts they are arming their clients with the legal knowledge to be able to sue them time and time again and I hope people do. I also wish a judge would warn lloyds that interest will be calculated right up to the date that payment is made - so as to increase the amount Lloyds need to pay out. We are at bailiffs stage and have been for over two weeks now but I think that the interest increment stopped at the time we entered judgement by default. Barclays Litigation team have in so many words told me that they are holding out paying me until my court date is announced then they will settle just before that date - which is an absolute abuse of the court process - gains me no further interest and in the meantime I have had to take out a laon to live.0 -

1. Yes
2. Wait till you get contacted by your local court. You should get paperwork relating to the defence from MCOL. The court bundle is not required till you get a court date. This could be a few months away yet and you may be offered a payout before this time if not within the last 48 hours before it goes to court. Once you have a court date you need to find out all about the bundles. There is plenty of advice on this site and you'll need to do some reading. The advice on here maybe updated before you get a court date so you have plenty of time to find out all about themtry using the search near the top of the screen

Need your help.
I am currently trying to claim £2300 from Lloyds TSB. After attempting to contact them by phone for a number of weeks without success, I have just
checked my account on-line and they have paid in a "Goodwill Payment" of £750!!
Can anyone please give me advice as to what to do next? Obviously, I want the whole charges. Should I go to the Financial Ombudsman, or contact the bank and ask them to remove it etc. etc.
Many thanks,0 -
THe £750 goodwill gesture is standard for Lloyds. Forget about phoning them. Write them a letter instead stating that you are accepting this payment as part payment without prejudice only and will claim for the remainder in court.Reclaimed thanks to this site:
