As it seems like many people are trying to get their bank charges returned, myself inlcuded, I ask myself in jest that should it get to the court stage would it be sensible to register the default with a creit reference agency.
As many of us have been added as bad debtors on their register why not the banks.
By the way, any one able to advise on how long it takes to get bank statements from Lloyds TSB please.. 40th day today (20th) and am wondering should I wait longer and how long for.
Also, any one have a telephone number for Lloyds TSB please.
Best Wishes to all

I'm currently trying to reclaim £640 from Lloyds and sent my first letter off about 2 weeks ago. I had my reply from them yesterday saying how they incur expense by increasing overdrafts or telling customers they can't agree to increasing overdrafts etc. I replied yesterday with the second letter sent recorded delivery so I expect to get another knock back next week sometime. From everything I've read on here, LloydsTSB seem to be the slowest to settle, and seem to take pleasure in trying to make people sweat. Maybe it's just a ploy and some people do actually drop the claim rather than going to court? I'm not looking forward to the court papers with this questionnaire in it I have to be honest - hopefully when I get it (if I need to, which I'm pretty sure I will) the questionnaire is straight forward. I read somewhere it askes you why you think you're entitled to the claim is that right???
Thanks

When you issue your court claim, you fill in a 'particulars of claim'. This is a very brief outline of why you believe you are entitled to claim. There is a standard template for this when you need it (you are better using this standard template rather than making up your own version, this has tripped people up before). The allocation questionnaire doesn't go into detail about your reasons for claiming. This is only a form to let the judge decide the best way to proceed with your case. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Received a letter saying a I was going to be charged £35 for going overdrawn. Phoned LTSB to complain (before I'd read this board!) but of course call centre person I spoke to had all the answers to my complaints. Told her it was pointless asking about it which she basically agreed with but then told me that if I phoned back next week they were meant to be changing their policy on charges and if this was the only time I'd gone over drawn in the past 12 months they should be able to help me then.
She couldn't give me any more details but does anyone know anything about this or was it just to get me off the phone???

Thanks, I've used the letter templates for the first two, and will continue to for the "particulars of claim" form as you suggested.
Thanks for the info0 -
Have a look at this,

Hi all,
I am just looking into tyring to reclaim charges from Lloyds TSB on my bank accounts and just wanted to ask a few questions before I started.-
I have two bank accounts (same branch) with them, can I claim from both with the same letter or do I need to claim each of them seperatley? The charges aren't too large (but still a substantial amount to me); £315 on one account and £185 on the other.

I have used my online banking to find charges from July 2002 but couldn't go back to 2001. I am quite confident that I didn't incur any charges during the period 2001 to Jun 2002 because at that point I was relatively comfortable financially. Does this mean I don't need to send the £10 and first letter (requesting charges) as I already have a list of charges or will I need their reply later in the process?
Thanks in advance.
