Someone went into court last year against Natwest, and lost the case. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Hello, 1st visit to the Forum, but have already filed a claim against LLoyds TSB for £744.00. The bank had until 22.01.07 to respond. Today i recieve a letter from the court informing me that LLoyds have filed an acknowledement of Service, and they have indicated an intention to defend all of the claim. Does this mean that they are likely to defend, or are they just after another 28days? They have never offered a smaller amount, or any goodwill gesture (i keep hoping though, i could do with a couple of quid)
Thanx Miashye0 -
They will be just playing for time in the hope that you get scared by the legal process and drop your case.
Stick with it, I'm a little ahead of you as I have received and returned the Allocation Questionnaire. Take advantage of all the help and advice on here and sign up to the consumer action group website too if you've not done already. There is lots of help and advice on there too.0 -

Yes you can.
Read through the guides at the top of this page and then ask any questions on the Lloyds TSB thread that has already been started.
Good luck0 -
I agree. Just before Christmas I received a copy of charges on my Lloyds TSB account going back 6 years. Trouble is, I'm not 100% sure what I should sensibly claim back. Obviously penalty charges, but what about 'Account Charges' which seem to be charged if your account goes in the red. Is it reasonable to claim these. Does anyone know?0

allegradream wrote:Hi, I posted last night, but looking at my post today, it appears to be someone elses!...Just a quickie, I sent a letter to LLoydsTSB on 13 December asking for my statements for 6 years, but as of yet they havent cashed the cheque I sent, and I have not received any statements from them. Shall I just claim for the 2-3 years worth of online statements that I have, and get that moving, whilst I wait for the rest, or can I only make one claim? What do I do if they do not give me the statements?....Please please please help, I really want to fight this to the end, but it's no good if I can't get off the first step!, Regards, Denise
They have 40 days to get your statements to you. Lloyds never cashed my cheque and they took nearly all the 40 days to get my statements to me, although Christmas was in between. I would wait until 40 days is up, what to do next is in Martins article in the links at the top of this page.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0 -
My son made a payment by phone with his Visa Debit card. He got the amount he was to pay wrong & he was about £1.90 short. He got a letter from the bank & they said they had paid it for him but would charge £30 for doing so. Is this right? He did ask them to remove it & they said no.
He is 20 & when my 19 year old daughter went slightly overdrawn with RBS they said they only charged her £10 because she was under 21, when she went in they did remove it though.
Can my son do anything?0
