    hi everybody,
just wanted to ask a quick question, i am in the process of getting the first letter to the bank and was just wondering as i walk past my local branch every day can i just pop it through the letterbox or is it best to post it recorded delivery so you have proof they received it:
    any help would be appreciated
    cheers in advance

It's better you have some form of proof that the bank received your letter. This would stop them claiming you haven't sent them anything.

What was your experience? Were they slow to respond?

I have printed off the template letter, do I just send that off with a questionnaire and wait for a response or do I need to send further details etc?

    Thanks

    Bit confused!!!

margo have a look at the CAG website - they have loads of advice and help. Lloyds settled with us before we got to a court date, hopefully they will do the same for you. But don't give up - you have come this far!

  • Hi,

I have a Lloyds TSB Classic account. Can I reclaim the following charges; over draft interest, over draft excess fee, unpaid cheque & unpaid direct debit charges?

Has anybody claimed the above back and is your account still open after the dispute was resolved?

    Thanks in advance

Yes you can bigsaver - have a read thru the article at the top of the forum, the letter templates are there as well. There is also a thread of sucess stories which is great! We did it and it was very straightforward thanks to the good advice on here. Oh and yes, the account was left open.

Thanks. I will look into the templates.
  • I have my court date tomorrow and Lloyds haven't yet paid up. So it looks like I'm going to the County Court at 10 am.

I'm not scared as I know that I'm entitled to what I have asked for.

However, I am a little nervous as I don't know what to expect. Does anyone have any idea?

Good Luck lisaflower, let us know how you get on, you will probably find that no-one turns up to represent Lloyds or that a deal is done before the hearing starts.
