  • Hi people, little question ive just got all my details from lloyds and on the early pages (2001) there are some charges for £20 for "Overdraft use", now theres some where there are a few in a month and even a couple in 1 day. Now I'm guessing these are the same as Overdraft excess just named differently. Can someone confirm this?. Thanks a lot.

On behalf of my wife i posted a claim for £450 approx incluidng interest. LLoyds TSB paid up before court but after a court date had been allocated.

Yesterday my wife received a letter and cheque from them as they had closed her account without warning. She rang them and they apologised and reinstated it - she does have a premium (paid for) account.

I was slightly disappointed as a trip to the ombudsman was in the offing and another possible £200.
  • Hi! Just joining the LTSB throng. Like many had a nice letter back from 'Mike' at Andover stating that the charges over the six years (£2445) were for 'services rendered'. I threatened court and since no reply have just started the MCOL process. Not counting any chickens and want to prepare well; has anyone (preferably those that have been to Court and won) got a best practice layout for a Court bundle please?

  • Hi posted this on general forum, though I'd post here instead, hoping someone would have an idea what's going on!

Just thought I'd share some good news! I started a claim for my son a couple of months ago to claim back £1600, but due to not researching properly made a mess of the MCOL process (totally inadequate particulars of claim, no schedules sent etc.) After taking advice from the forum I was waiting for them to file a defence at which point I was going to submit a claim amendment. We had the form from the court last week to say that LTSB had acknowledged and would defend the claim in full, which is what I expected. However...on Sunday my son called me to say he'd just looked at his account on line and the whole amount of the claim (including court fee and interest) had been credited to his account!!! (twice actually, although they reclaimed 1 lot on Monday). My son swiftly moved the £1600 to another account! We had no settlement letter or anything! I was utterly gobsmacked because I was sure that they would defend such a poorly submitted claim, but I was also very relieved at not having to go the whole court route. I think they must be selecting claims at randon to settle, doesn't make sense otherwise. Whatever, we are both really pleased. So folks, don't give up, there is light at the end of the tunnel! Also thanks to everyone on this site for all the advice and support given.

    Update

Here's a strange thing! As you can see from my post above I assumed this case was settled. However, I've just looked at the MCOL site and the claim has changed to 'defence' with today's date! What does this mean, they've already refunded my son on Monday!!! Has this happened to anyone else, what should I do?
  • Lloyds have until tomorrow 15th to defend my claim and so far so good no news is good news, from others experience do they usually defend last minute or may i just slip through the net ...?

    Hi all
My claim has been moved to Southend, and today I got this letter.

Upon reading the court file and of the Court's own initiative

IT IS ORDERED THAT the claim is stayed until 27 June 2007 to be referred to District Judge Dudley in paperwork on June 2007

Can anyone tell me what this means:confused:

If you ring the court they will explain, I did and they were very helpful to me.

    Hey guys,

I have a "Notice Of Hearing" for August at my local County Court. There are a few things in the information given to me which I do not understand:
    IT IS ORDERED THAT

    1. The defendants do file and serve skeletal legal arguments at least 21 days before the hearing (19th/ 20th July-ish)

    2. Claimant at liberty to rely at least 7 days before the hearing.

What does point 2 mean? What do I have to do?

What has been the proportion of cases where Lloyds have settled before court to not turning up at all to those who have been given court dates that is? Is it more likely that they will not turn up in court or settle just before?

Thanks for any help you can give, I'm lost as to what I need to do!
